I’m excited for 2.0 final, but even more excited about getting 5.29s installed. @OVTune has incrementally improved my truck over the last three years and 70K miles but let’s face it, gears are required if we want to run tire sizes larger than stock.

In order, the best daily driver mods have been:
OVT, Icon RXT rear pack, Fox 2.0s, and @MESO ECT Pro Shift Knob. I’m confident that the regear will be the icing on the cake.

Just got 5.29’s installed about 10 days ago. Still on 500mi breakin but they are the best mod since OVtune. Huge difference in drive ability and I’m only running 32’s.

May I ask what a regear costs? Did you do anything else while at it?

I don't know if this is regional or what, but I'm on my 3rd taco (had an '06, a '14, and now my '18). Replaced the battery once on my '06 after 5 years, never replaced it on my '14. Just hit 2 years on my '18 battery with no signs of issues.

Maybe just another truck by truck quirk...?

Keeping a trickle charger on the battery will extend the life a lot. My stock battery lasted just over 4 yrs

    Could be.

given the remote locations I travel to, I’m not gonna chance seeing how long it will last. Replaced it after about a year.

Still on the stock battery in my '16. I'm thinking I should just change it out and be done with it lol

Same. I didn't even give it a chance. Toyota reimbursed me the full price of the X2 as well.

Still on the factory battery in my 16, although the voltage doesn’t really stay above 11.5v anymore, figure it’s on its way out.

Have an X2 27F coming this week though, and a CTEK charger :D hoping to get at least 10yrs out of it.

Makes perfect sense, I would too if I traveled like that. The battery life is also dependent on usage patters as well I would think.

That’s half of what I got quoted up here. For Nitro or Yukon.
