Are you? Where did you download your 2.0 files from. If the Beta page, then yeah, they're Beta. If Flash Manager, then they're 2.0 Full Version.

also, where do i get the vft file for the ovtune tunes?

Sorry for the confusion. I'm talking about MTs. @b3itz is MT also.

Seeing your edit. That is interesting. That last field was not there the last time that I was in FM.

Toyota Flash was the older version. It was installed in the Program Files \ Toyota Flash folder. OVTuned is the updated version and installed in the Program Files \ OVTuned folder.

Toyota flash should no longer be working and should have been uninstalled before you updated to the new version.

Just in case, the Betas have slimmed down versions. They don't contain all the goodies. On my Taco, 2.0 is an animal.

Bingo - thanks. I'll remove the TFM

So we are now on 2.0 final for the 2016 MT's including all the goodies?

Yes. If you flashed 2.0 Base or SFOB, you are on the full version.

    You're welcome!

Not yet. We can only change 2.0 files once they are delivered as the Tune Pack. They have a different file extension. Not P5F.

If you want to mess around, there is only the Stock tunes in vF. Do remember that once you unlock an ECU, you have to buy more credits to unlock another and that the TSB software is out there for 04B14.

Got it - i have not unlocked my ECU yet, i've been waiting to see what happens with 14 as you chatted about a few days back. Thanks for your recommendations for that.
I just really want to stop tending these damn batteries lol

    You're welcome!

I can understand that. It should be a quick mod to the tune once you get the Tune Pack. We should have more info on 04B14 tunes at that time.

As I have finished off at least three tanks on both SFOB Prem 87 and 92, I am thinking about flashing the TSB file to test our 04B14 Stock. A raging debate in my head.

I just did a 400 mile trip this weekend with my truck for some light track driving and camping. I flashed the 87 tune before i left.
The truck does feel much nicer to drive. It's more responsive and the power seems more linear and doesn't bounce me all over the cab. During some wheeling, it felt again more responsive and i like i had to burn less clutch to get things to catch and get moving during turn arounds and what not.
So far - i'm impressed but not totally blown away.
i just put a full take of 93 in the truck and i'll flash the high octane tune this week.

The tune is extremely linear. The engine just feels normal. It also has a much larger throttle table and a single torque map for all gears which pairs great with the MT. Previously, there was a different map for each gear and neutral. DAFUQ!

Note that the 2.0 tunes have octane learning. So, you don't have to flash if you change octanes. That said, @OVTune did say that the Prem tunes have a bit more ignition advance to take full advantage of high octane.

I was running 87 with 2.0 SFOB Prem. It worked great. I am up over 2mpg with 92 though. It more than covers the cost difference. Previously running high octane would cause me to either lose some MPGs or stay the same.
