    This was discussed previously.

A CS Rep increases the company size by 50%. I don't think folks would like a 50% increase in costs passed along?

I get what you're saying, but I can't think of many companies that don't have them. Someone needs to be available to deal with problems that come up with customers. It's not too much of a problem when your small, but if you are growing, and you want to take it to the next level, it's different...

Since 2000, I have only worked in small companies. No more that 10 or 11 folks, max. The ones that had office admin still passed 80% of the CS stuff off to the rest of the staff.

For OVT to hire a person that has enough knowledge to independently keep the goons at bay would not be an inexpensive affair.

Also as was seen with a particular vendor here on TW with a massive backlog, the good CS folks seemed to be a revolving door.

I can agree that info is scattered. I do wish time frames were faster but I got to remember it’s just a couple guys doing everything, and pretty much one doing tuning/code. But if you just read and keep up with it, it’s all pretty straight forward.

I’ve never had a single issue with flashing since the beginning. You just need to READ and FOLLOW the instructions. I’m even using a Mac via Parallels to flash and never had a single issue. I HATE windows and can barely get around it but still have flawless flashing. File organization and reading instructions are key.

And if anybody shipped in a dongle without a tracking number and reading the instructions of what to include before mailing....wtf were you thinking? Would you just put 500 bucks cash in the mail with a stamp on it?

Regardless, pumped for non start up issue 2.0 cause the truck loves that last tune!

Got the email from you. Thank you, sir. I know you're busy fielding all kinds of crap coming your way. Still wish I could have stuck with the dongle, but I do appreciate you at least providing an option for us originals.

It's the cost of doing business and providing good customer service.

    There's really a few choices I guess.
Grow the company and hire more people.
Continue on like this, which Im sure sucks for most everyone involved.
Go out of business once the good will dries up.
Drastically reduce the product line further to a manageable level with the current human capital.

Is waiting for a license the same as waiting for a reg key? Or are they two separate things?

I picked up a Flash kit used, contacted @OVTune to purchase a license, waited because I can see what a show this was, and Mat was in the middle of VFTuner roll out etc, etc, pandemic, etc, so that's not a problem. Developer overseas, and more stuff to tune before final, again no problem. Then it went quiet, then there was this hopeful exchange...

Sorry to bother you and all, but did I fall through the cracks again? Not complaining, just checking zendesk #13605. . :canada: :hattip:

    Agreed.

In the end, once the groundwork is laid, maintaining it with changes should be easy, as well as pointing folks to that info.

I supported field mechanical guys on laptops and mobile devices for 8 years. People have no clue what that is like. You are spot on.

It's really too bad you can't just plug the a tune into the port and have it do everything automatically and just flash a read light then go green until "ding" ya dun! That would help those that are not 'tech enabled' and allow an easier mass public sale of a tune. I don't mind the layers in place but I certainly would NOT expect 90% of anyone in my family to comprehend.
