Id ask matt but he prob wouldnt answer. I was under the assumption that the 2.0 final that he released (without gearlock and ect/performance mode) was not the final version. The complete version was still coming out with the updated flash manager. Havent seen many queries on this. Is it still happening? Cuz it seems like all that was dropped. Should i be coming to this forum waiting for another release?

Drag Force is a function of the square of the velocity.
Power Required (to overcome the drag) is a function of the cube of the velocity (because power=Force*velocity).

Either way, that is what we are pushing down the road... is a huge cube...

with my stock 2020 4x4 OR on 265/75s I averaged 17.5 mpg (trying really hard to drive conservatively)

I lifted it 2 inches, flashed OVTune 2.0 THX87 and now I average 20mpg. I also drive a little more aggressively in the city now since the truck drives so much better. Probably would be 22mpg without the lift since i drive 60% highway.

Hey guys, I have the older small dongle kit and am getting an error trying to use pcmflash to flash the new 2.0 final files. Says that the file is corrupted. Any suggestions?

So I now have 500+ miles on 04B04 2.0F Premium Stock 33 tune. I hated the Thx version and ran it for ~400+ miles, but this non-Thx tune is working well for me. I’m running 265/75/R16’s in C-load (46 lbs). While I miss gear lock and ECT Performance map change of the last 2.0 Beta, this tune has settled in nicely and is performing great. Shifting under any load in any situation is super smooth. It hold gears well, and just drives great overall, mpg’s are up 1-2 mpg. If my truck came stock like this I’d have never looked at a tune. It drives very well. ECT functions as stock, basically moving shift points up 500 rpm or so. I still get it shifting into 3rd on mountain passes, but I’m also going ~80 mph and shifts are smooth.

It’s also a good thing I like this tune as I can’t flash anything different. My tuning Surface tablet had a Windows update and got a new system ID. I submitted a zen desk ticket with new ID to @OVTune and expect I’ll get an update after the Holiday. No hurry, I was thinking of going back to the 2.0 Beta with GL and ECT Performance map even with the start up hiccup, but that’s when I found my tablet issue. I just ordered 255/80/R17 tires so I’ll want the Performance map and GL at some point, but this tune drives so well I’m willing to take the risk on bigger tires.

Happy OV Customer here. Well done Mat! Everything after this point is just a bonus from my perspective. I am excited to tinker in vF as well, but mainly just to adjust for an AGM battery. Even without vF I have a library of tunes to play with, and several that perform great in different ways. You’d have to be a salty little bitch to feel cheated by OV at this point in my opinion.

Yeah I have been trying to keep tabs on this thread but life happened.

Thanks. I'll send them the dongle soon. The only problem is that I'm experiencing 2 month waits for packages from Canada to USA due to the pandemic.

Anyone else running 5.29s on 32s (275/70R17 for me)?

After trying the 5.29 premium tunes for both stock and 33” tires, I decided to go with the the premium stock gear tune and it feels so much better.

The 5.29 tunes seem to make the truck shift prematurely - probably a result of the 32” tires.

I figured I’d give it a shot since so many people re-gear and don’t tune. I’m glad I did.

Thank you for this. I've been searching for what exactly the tunes do between the stock tire size and the larger tire sizes. To make sure I understand you correctly - you noticed the stock tune shifted at higher rpms compared to the 33" tune?

Running the thx stock tires file premium...love it so far. Compared to 2.0 91 performance. No more dead pedal delay from brake to gas pedal. I dont jerk around on my throttle. It eases in very nicely. Loving it so far. Just missing my gear lock. Ect is indeed working as like it was stock. No issues on start ups etc either. Loving it so far

Why you idle for 10 minutes ?
I've only ever done what the instructions
Wait 20 seconds completely off than idle for 1 minute. Than I shut the truck off again and all is good

I just let it idle awhile since I wasn't going to drive it yet.
