Simply send us the ECU ID you need and we will give you VFT versions,
if you are using the older flasher, (1.3.2) you can flash P5F versions.

 

I believe the THX file means it has more sensitive/reactive throttle tip-in

 

I would run at least a full tank premium before you switch to a premium tune.

I did that and ran premium just fine

 

Just flashed the tune it made me turn the truck off and it would only restart with using my key fob to press the push button start, is this normal? if I need to go back to the stock tune for any reason how do I go about doing that. Will it be saved in VF tuner?

 

No idea about your first problem other than trying a new fob battery.

The Stock tune is in the installation folder:
Program Files (x86) \ vFtuner \

 

Awesome thanks, I would have never found that. Battery is new, but I swapped a new one anyways. Has never done it besides when I flashed the tune. Tune said it was successfully installed or something like that. Truck drives really nice. Cant wait to install the premium tune.

The fob thing is a new one. You could try to flash again. If that doesn't work, reach out to @OVTune ?

Yeah. Zero issues. One evening, I flashed 26 times in about an hour on my own Taco.

 

Curious about that fob issue. You mean you physically have to mash the start button with the fob? If you use your finger it doesn't work? That seems like a really odd physical issue that wouldn't be tune related.

I've seen other systems like Mercedes where you can pull out the Start button (it's just a cap) and physically fit your key fob into the hole that is now exposed, and turn it like a real key. But, this obviously isn't like that.

 

The touch thing is a backup if the fob battery is dead. The proximity can sense (RFID?) the chip and allow the Taco to start if you get caught out with a dead battery.


The tune affecting the PTS is interesting though. A reflash or a flash back to Stock would help narrow it down.

Yep, would really narrow it down if he went back to stock and it fixed that issue.

 

I reflashed the ov tune this morning and it did not do it again, but the first time I literally had to press the push start with the fob, I changed the battery last night to be safe. No other issues besides that. I thought it was weird though since my battery was just replaced 2 months ago or less

 

Weird stuff can happen when working with complex, networked systems. I'd chalk it up to a minor thing, then, unless it repeats in the future.
