2016 Toyota Tacoma remote problem

2016 Toyota Tacoma remote won't work after installing new battery ... it won't start or lock & unlock the doors

 

no disrespect intended. are we talking the truck battery or the FOB battery?

Again, just trying to be helpful. first thoughts - the new battery is upside down in the fob, or, the new battery has a clear plastic piece on it (they can be hard to see) preventing a connection, or, battery type does not match the original, or, try the steps in post #4 here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/key-fob-stopped-working.333436/

Battery correct size, no plastic on battery, new battery tested at 3.19 volts, PLUS side is up, tried in the two key fobs that came with the Tacoma, both dead.
