I think I might this afternoon if 1.05 general release is delayed. Might as well try it out while waiting!

I’ve never had an issue getting a response when emailing mat.

Driving 75-80 at 3500 rpm is what the stock tune does on the auto. I ran thousands of miles doing that. Is it ideal? No, but your motor isn’t going to explode. This is a high revving motor. If you don’t want to run that high, drive slower. There’s lots of variables why it may run in a lower gear at higher rpm.

I’m not saying don’t let mat know, but do it via the proper channels so he can track the issues, that’s impossible to do via forum posts. I don’t think any of these issues are a huge crisis like some people are making them out to be. Things will get addressed and further refined.

The only reason certain people are telling others to be quiet is so that the tune releases, good or bad.

    That’s a generalization you shouldn’t be making.

It sounds like the only quibbles anyone has are related to the auto trans. I don't have one of those evil devices, so I'm still pretty excited.

We’re telling them to be quiet is because we have seen hell break loose on multiple occasions. Mat specifically told everyone to contact him through his zendesk email.

Roommate says he got 16.7 mpg with his first tank driving from Central California to Oregon. Hes on 34s, 6" lift, full bumper and winch. He also has MT gears, so the 4.30s. He's on the 87 1.05 tune. Second tank he's at 15.1 but he's pretty sure he's been fighting a head wind. Stays in 5/6th the majority of the time and he said was stuck in 4th a couple of times with the hills and headwind.

I'm still looking forward to testing this all out. I'm going to drive so many pointless places but we're going places. lol

This, I am currently running the M/T 1.05 test tune and I am excited to see the difference the re-written tables make for low rpm torque and top end performance...

I don't see how it could be a generalization when I said "certain people". I didn't desicrate an OVTune shrine did I?

Thank you for a good response! All I usually see is hate on this thread. So why don't people that have positive feedback get banned from sharing their impression of 1.05? If all that people are allowed to share is positive then doesn't that just create an illusion that all is rosie?

It's because people are idiots who see that Mat has requested they email him, and then elect to not do so. It's not feedback they're giving so much as it is demanding that Mat address their concerns in a public forum after he specifically requested otherwise.

I think I can speak for most of us however feel free to interject... we enjoy both good and bad reviews cause it shows us different sides of the coin. We really enjoy constructive reviews the most since this is a development thread. When someone gets to the point that they're not being constructive anymore it gets annoying because we don't want anyone to have a negative time here.

Technically mat doesn’t want that either, in the past he told people not to say anything in the forums but he’s allowed some talk since then

I get it, Mat could have made it a closed beta test with strict guidelines not to share any information until the files are released to everyone. By choosing TW as the communication platform it's almost impossible to do anything about it at this point. There is always that ignore button :)

Since you’re all in front of the computer constantly refreshing why don’t you open another tab and rub one out?
You'll feel much better because right now it feels like I walked into a room full of women at that time of month

No one's telling anyone to be quiet. Certain people are telling others to follow the instructions the creator of the tune has asked for.
