    Still waiting for it
    ...and I’m tuned.
    1.02c with A shift points.
Only had a short drive due to snow, but already a different truck.
Gone is valve clatter, wierd shifts, back is pep and throttle response.
It should have come this way, looking forward to what comes next...

Loaded the tune this morning and went for a 60 mile drive through the Texas hill country; 1.02C shift A 87oct.

The truck feels like a totally different animal. I was on the verge of selling the truck, despite being a loyal Toyota customer and this being my second Tacoma. The shift points and throttle response are exactly what SHOULD have been happening from day one. It's a shame Toyota totally missed the mark on the 3rd Gen ECU / TCU programming but i'm grateful OVTune got it right, even if it was to the tune of $700+ ...

If you're on the edge, go ahead and dive in. You wont be disappointed and I'm confident OV will only perfect the tune further from here.

I haven’t received mine either. I believe there are 5 back and forth emails? I’m on number 3. He might be sending them out in batches?

By the way... nice truck. Those pesky kids made me get a double cab lol!

The first dongle read was sent some time last week. There had been some back and forth pretty consistently. I’m on my third round of about five back and forth emails.

Mine timeline was pretty much the same. I had hoped software registration activation would go quicker than what I had expected but I guess it is slower than expected during the holidays.

I just installed a TRD Catback Exhaust over the weekend, does anybody know if I need to reflash the tune? Truck drives completely different now. Holds gears very very long. Sometimes too long.

@OVTune , to avoid the back and forth verifications and for those of us without Windows computers, do you guys offer a one stop service to get it installed for us at your business? Wouldn't mind driving to avoid the hassle.

a lot of the delay currently is that I am out of office for the holidays, with limited access to electronics.

some steps of the registration process with the kit is required. I understand the dongle registration step is a bit annoying and am trying to work out an easier solution.

I have no problem doing trucks in person when I am available. However I am frequently out of the country.
Next month I'll be back in Hong Kong until February. Have to tune some Lotuses before track day.

A lot of stuff is getting finalized for 1.03, I'll have an outline on it all after dyno day this wednesday.

I have seen a few people with problems downloading/installing the drivers ect. Could the software/drivers that we currently need to download be pre installed on the dongle in an auto run file that installs the programs/drivers? and then generates the first set of "codes" for the registration email? This could save some time and headache on your part walking these folks through the process.

No need to reflash. Base tune Tacoma was equiped with TRD Pro Catback and CAI. I'm running the same setup with 1.02C A 87 and love it.

I think I was the last one to reach out for help with this process. Just to be clear, I’m running through the process on a MacBook Pro. Doing so adds extra steps. I was running the original OS on that computer too. So, I had to update the OS, buy Windows 10 and install Windows 10 with Bootcamp before I got to where most people would be from the beginning. Beyond all that, I’m not that sharp with computers... I had to “figure” everything out with articles, blogs and YouTube videos. The process wasn’t/isn’t that bad. It would be cool if all the emailing back and forth could be eliminated, but as I understand it, that’s how Matt protects what he created from being stolen.

I agree with this statement, but having installed five tunes on my Colorado to try to get it to shift better, I find Matt's approach to be the most complicated yet. I'm currently at email step three with him.

Three of the tunes I installed on the Colorado were simply emailed to me in a single file, which was then transferred to a third party tuning device (DiabloSport I3 for example), and then that device was connected to the truck to load the tune. Pretty simple.

The other two tunes were done with a PC, but again, the files were simply emailed to me and I and loaded to the truck via tuning software.

As far as I know, all of the files provided to me were locked to my VIN. In fact, I couldn't even sell the tuners until I had put the truck back to stock using the tuner,
so the custom tune was released from it.

I'm not saying what Matt's doing is wrong, but I'm sure it's causing him a lot of stress with all of the emails flying back and forth.

I sent a reply to my order confirmation email and a PM on here in regards to my order (2029) and still haven't received a reply from either.

I took advantage of the Labor Day special and placed my order on 9/4/17 while I was stationed in Japan. I know there was a backorder at the time so the wait didn't bother me because I had some time before I got back to the US. I never received any emails about shipping confirmation or tracking info, but I figured with the amount of time that passed, my order would have shipped. Now I'm back in the States, but there wasn't a package from OVTune.

I want to get this sorted out ASAP because due to the lack of a response I feel like I got ripped off.

I'll check on this asap. if you emailed me I may have not seen the email yet. As far as PM's on the site there are so many that I get I cannot keep track.

Edit** I see the issue this order was rejected for potential fraud, likely because it was placed out of the states.

I'll get this sorted sorry. You did not get ripped off. I have been out since the 20th, communication is limited.
