I wonder if anybodyhave the same exp. I had my TRD sport for couple of months now. Noticed the acceleration is weak 4x4 or 2x4 and there are lots of noice when accelerating. Sometimes it gets over 2000rpm then just shoes up to 3000rpm, the engine is just making grudging noice but don't seem to accelerating. Does anybody have the dame feeling?

I have driven other car/suv/trucks, but they are not as loud and the acceleration is normal if not better. Ir feels like my truck jusy won't go when stepping on the gas. Even my siena is much better. It can easily gets up to 100k but my taco seems like taking forever

Which engine do you have? The 2.7L 4 cylinder or the 3.5L V6?

I believe with the TRD sport the only option is the 3.5L V6. Only the SR and SR5 you have the option between the 4 or 6 cylinder.

Mine feels somewhat similar OP. When driving normally between stoplights and what not its a bit sluggish but when merging on the highway I can step on it and get up to speed no issue. I think its the new 6 speed auto trying to be more fuel efficient.

As someone already mentioned, try using the ECT button. It'll put a dent in your gas mileage but I think it'll give you the "wow" feeling you're wanting. (for a V6).

I got on mine for the first time today to pass two cars and it moves. Mostly a calm driver trying to get the good fuel milage. Your truck should scoot when required.

My light doesn't come on when i push the button in or even if it's out. All other lights come on in that area. Is it supposed to come on?

If you mean the ECT button. The button itself doesn't light up. But on your gauges a ECT light will illuminate.

Thanks, my 16 Accord is like that. Lost of features are the same, just different wording. I'm getting more familiar with my truck.

Took my family up north for an ice fishing trip. It's about 2.5 hours drive. What i noticed that on flat road and under 2000 rpm, it's fine though the acceleration is not the best but on the road that is on mild uphill, it got over 2000rpm and the engine gets loud with slow acceleration. The misses noticed the loud noice from the engine too. It was on 4x2 the whole trip.
