Hey guys. I was wondering if there was any word on what tires are going to come one the new TRD sports. I've searched around and haven't found any real info on what tires will be shipping.

It will be shipping with 4 tires plus one spare mounted under the truck. There's a high possibility they are made out of rubber and filled with air according to the Toyota engineers - but not confirmed yet

But according to many on this site, they won't be as good as the Gen 2 tires . . .

There's also a rumor floating around that all 5 of them might be round in shape - let's hope for the best

Yeah, the technical specs document has two listed:
Firestone Destination LE2 (P265/65R17) & Toyo Open Country A31 (size not listed, prob same)

Document doesn't state which TRD Sports would have which tire...

Not as round as on the Colorado though. And the tread is 3 microns shallower.

The sport is the only one with 17's. The Limited will have the 18's.
