@Devo 4x4 TRD - Yes many have had issues with the new transmission, including me. Go get your trans fluid checked from the dealer, it may be low. Also, there is a long learning period for these transmissions to adapt to your driving habits. Mine shifts a lot during cruise control (tends to downshift a lot over almost the easiest inclines). When I use the ECT button, it is fun and has more power, but it tends to shift too soon.

Keep in mind I have the 2.7 4 banger. Same 6 speed transmission you have and I tend to get the same cold symptoms.

The transmission is built fine. People talk trash so much on this forum it makes me sometimes not want to visit. The main problem is the transmission tuning/mapping. I think Toyota will re flash them all, no big deal.

R: 0311k1ll. I did notice when i took a tractor and trailer home from work that weighed ruffly 5200 lbs it pulled very nicely and powerful but in freeway with ect on and cruise it didnt shift to much under load but when it does it down shifts and stays there for a while so usualy i give a little throttle and it shifts up fine and calms down
