About time Toyota figured out that people use bed lights. I thought it was embarrassing that the 2nd gens did not have them.

2nd Gen face and 3rd gen body and personality would be perfect combination.

Interesting how the '16s don't have massive mud flaps. I wonder Toyota's thoughts behind that. Seems prone to rock chips.

Both look great, but the '16 really makes the 2nd get start to look dated.

Seems like cost savings too me....given that flaps are now optional. Just a guess. :notsure:

I think both are good looking trucks: the 2015s drew me in, and now the 2016s look great to me. I like the "complicated" look: the curves, the lights, the round vents inside...I'm just a fan of that sort of style. In my opinion, the earlier interior pic of the 2003 looks like a mid 90's family sedan: boring, monotone, and plain. I've waited a long time for something more interesting and exciting, and the 2016s bring that.

Does it seem like the 2016 mirrors have a larger field of vision? I haven't seen one in person so it's hard to tell from the pictures. If they offer a larger field of vision I might be able to adopt them to my 2nd gen. 2nd been guys might want to look into the new Tbl with cargo light, roof line like the same so maybe we can adopt that as well. Thanks for the side but side op.

The clear light above the cab is just a bed light and brake light.

Bed light and I think the XM antenna?

I like the outside styling of both trucks, but the new one, IMHO, looks way better on the inside.

It's embarrassing they still don't come with a lot of things standard or even as options..... but..... for what Toyota offers in reliability far outweighs the competition (that has those standards/options).

Seems Toyota fortified the rocker panel, and probably removed the mud flaps to decrease drag and increase MPG for EPA purposes.

Not real fond of the grill too big but I like the rear gives it a bit less "flat " look it also looks like they added a lock to the tail gate. I agree with the older flat dash it actually had gauges.

It looks as if the Tacoma matured out of puberty into a sexy matured entity. I am very impressed with the physical changes. Bravo Toyota!

Why not just all admit, the 2016 Tacoma looks much better.

All of the 1000s and 1000s of discussions of threads about 2016 exterior = Over.

Those who like 2015 and older, please buy those model or if you own them then be happy about it instead of coming into 3rd Gen to talk sh*t. LOL
    Have a nice Sunday fellas
