Or maybe autos were supposed to have 4.30 in the 16 and the assembly line was like, let's switch these up lol.

So the auto went from 3.9 to 4.3 and the stick from 4.3 to 3.9? Or the guy who wrote this just flipped the two by accident and nothing changed. I think the latter may be more probable.

Ya I saw that they have a 2wd TRD OR too. You can clearly see the difference in the rear windows.

I don't think we can say for sure what the rear gear ratio is until the 2017s are up on the Toyota website and you can look at the specs. Dealers are most likely just taking the specs that was on the 2016s and listing them as the 2017 specs. Most of the 2017s shown on dealer websites don't even list power sliding rear window as a feature.

I highly doubt the gearing has changed. That's a big change for a company like Toyota 1 year into a new gen.

Data input by dealers almost always has errors. Usually it's some clueless salesperson copying and pasting. I see errors on ads all the time.
My thoughts exactly but I am hopeful they did change it.

Drive down to the neighbourhood Ford dealer. How many F150s? You gonna tell me that a dealer with a lot of trucks on the lot is indicative of a poor selling model?

Looks like they did, looks the same across the board for all models, 4.30, which would save them money in the long run. We will see. BS for the 16 auto owners.

Where are you seeing confirmation of this? Not doubting you, just curious.

Smitty's thread, he took a picture of the door sill stamp which has the transmission/gear ratio code "A" its different than a 2016, another member just cross referenced/looked it up and appears to be the 4.3 but different spacing.

I was at Toyota yesterday and I did not see a port-install option for locking tailgate in the system (at least in AZ region). My guess is the power lock tailgate would be a factory installed option. Maybe part of the Premium/Tech package? Still waiting for confirmation on this... But I was able to confirm TRD Skid and Exhaust as port options along with a deck rail camera mount.

If the 2017 turns out to be as much of a flop as the 2016 model it will be confirmed...Toyota is exiting the truck market and focusing on their other markets.

You seem to have an interesting interpretation of what a flop is. Please elaborate.
