0-60 and 1/4 mile times are significantly better. I guess if they can't beat the Tacoma on quality and resale they will try speed. I figure a lot of the GP will see the numbers and think the GMs are better. Speed is nice but my Tacoma is adequate and if I wanted more speed I would have bought a sports car.

Jesus, it's a truck. People need to stop measuring it using car metrics.

Do you have the 0-60 and 1/4 mile comparative numbers?

Yeah I didn't get my Tacoma for the blazing speed. Tacoma would be better competition for the GM if the 5.7L was in option in it.

no, I should have written them down. 0-60 was big. I wanna say maybe close to 2 seconds. The article was about 2017 changes to the GMs. I saw it on Yahoo.

I just quoted from one source, so that you can see the differences. When you mix the source of the numbers, IMHO, it becomes hard to compare apples to apples.

ya, but did they compare the sport to the chevys? we all know the scoop makes it faster, well at least I like to think so.

So, the real question is why is this important to me? Is there a drag race that I should be aware of?

6.1 0-60 and 14.8 quarter is impressive for any modern car, much less a pickup truck.

My 09 V-6 RAV4 was rated at 0-60 @ 6.3, top of 135 MPH. Not bad for a little CUV!
