After much research I finally got this project done. I was looking to ditch the stock JBL system in my truck. One thing I did not want to do was modify the truck beyond the stock speaker locations. When I sell a vehicle I tell them I want my gear back and have never had a problem on the trade when I hand them the factory stuff from the old one. some of this equipment was from previous vehicles and the mosconi stuff is new to me. I love it. I went with the pioneer deck on this one because it was cheap and space was limited and I needed to get the factory amp out of the truck. To me integrating into the factory deck was gonna be a big ass Hastle for a few reasons so I just yanked the jbl deck.

The sub box fits perfect. I was worried with the window unit but had no issues. 10tw3 off a jl250/1 I already owned.

    Tweeters in the factory spot?

    Running them active?

Where did you get the radio kit?

I am using the Focal KRX 3ways in mine. Love them.

Yea brother, I went with the factory location. I was really debating the pillars after seeing the ones you put in. I went with the Focal ES 165 Kx2. I am running them active. Mobile Toys in College Station,Tx did the install. We discussed pillars and flushing the controller but given my time constraints we did what could be done in one day and I am more than pleased. There are many great options for sound systems shown on these boards. I went with what I could yank out at anytime and put in the next vehicle.

The dash kit they had. Prior to making the trip I told them I would need the dash kit on arrival. I advised them I wanted the "centered " kit, not the one that has it towards the top. Could not tell you the model.

Quick update. I was getting a lil buzz from the sub touching the hard back of the seat. I pulled the back seat off on the 40 side (2 bolts). Two screws (Phillips) and I was able to remove the hard back of the seat. No touching. No rubbing. Lots of sonic boom. Had a few other rattles I was able to quiet down (window controls on both passenger and driver side got strips of sound dampening under them). I think if I place a few behind the drivers side seat belt I will have them all gone. The vents on the back wall were buzzing something fierce. There is three small tabs that go along the top of them. I pushed them in and pushed the top of the vents in and secured with a bit of sound dampening material. Very pleased with the setup.

Would you mind sharing a photo of this? I just installed my IDQ10 in one of Marv’s enclosures, and those little flaps are driving me nuts!

Yes, give me a bit. They buzzed like mad. They were the source of much annoyance

Had the same issue with my 10tw3 in that same box. I love it! What amp do you have on it?

There are three tabs that go along the top of the vents. I pushed them down so the top of the vent could go into the metal just a bit. Then secured it there with a lil piece of sound dampening material. It’s been holding well and killed a bunch of vibration noise. No effect on function of vent.

The three strips of sound dampening I used are the only pieces touching the vent and it works well

JL 250/1V2. I picked this amp and sub box in a pawn shop for 100 ea. I love the combo also. More bass then I will ever need.

I am finding that I will likely treat the plastic panels on the driver and passenger door. I get minor (very very minor) vibrations from the plastic panels. Also the area around the seat belt right next to my head sometimes will give me a tad bit of noise. Better do it quick I suppose because its gonna be 100 degrees here in San Antonio very soon.
