I can’t tell a difference in the color between the different panels. When they repainted it they did paint the entire panel not just the blemished area.

Theres no way on earth that the setting on the gun mix of the clear and hand of the painter is the same on different days... the finishes may look the same at first glance but they arnt... humidity and temp have an affect as well

Truck came back from paint Monday, looks great. Toyota painted the hood, roof and fenders. Hope it holds up better this time!

Can everyone that has had issues with their paint let us know the first digit and last 6 of your VIN. Maybe there is a certain range of vins from either the Texas or Mexico plant that is affected. Since you're all here anyways, maybe this information will help others with a similar issue. (My truck is Texas built with no paint issues)

O God I once put a washer fluid in my Reservoir that had some extra bug cleaning solvent that was like some kind of Pine-Sol smell to it. Every time I used it it would make my eyes water I the cab it was so strong.

Nor my 79 Bronco. It took a little old lady Tboneing me to take that truck off the road at 500,000 miles on it. The build of that truck + my Racho lift and 33" saved my life even according to my Dad who bought the truck new and gave it to me right before HS graduation.

I kid u not it seems like pollution is worse now. With all these regs. Our riverways have never been worse but hey pay another tax on ur property and they will fix it right this time.

Bro, you need a hug. Lots of generalized statements and no substantiation.

I had the piant protected with Opti Coat Pro Plus ..its one of the "new" ceramic coatings. I cant recommend it enough. My co worker has it on his Tundra and 3 years later his truck still looks like he waxes it every week and the system we both have come with a 7 year warranty. It can really help fix and fight against any potential issues with the clear coat that may pop up.. plus adds some scratch resistance and etching from bird droppings , road tar. issues with Road brines used in winter, Pollution in general are all but gone. Heres the video the detailer shot of My Taco the day he applied it. The truck will look this good for the next 7 years with little more then proper washing. Cost was $1,300 Canadian

A ceramic coating is great protection from contaminants but can’t change the chemical composition of the clear coat. These “clouds” that are appearing on many of our trucks are not on the surface so it doesn’t matter what products are used, this is why Toyota is repainting them under warranty.
