2017 PAINT ISSUES

Yep @Tacosrus i will try and get you a scan this weekend. If you can, bring it back to the dealer where you got it. My carfax was fu**ed (only 1 previous owner but showed auction my guess due to the paint issue) so the first dealer I tried to get it covered refused to even look at it. I left a complaint with corporate. Just gotta find somebody who will work with you. Luckily I was also under the 36,000 at the time.

 

I think I found it online. So wait. I downloaded it and sent it to get copied . Really appreciate it.

so to be clear the army green color should have a clear coat? not a paint guru, but this is an unfortunate situation OP...really blows to see this

 

All paint colors have a clear coat these days.

I see that. My truck is Early 2018. Don't see anything specifically for 2018 up. So we will see

New. Just flipped my lease to a purchase. But my mileage is at 30000 and I'm at 33 months

I thought the consensus here was that the Super White used on Tacomas and some other Toyotas is a single stage without a clearcoat? They've been having issues with that for YEARS.

 

I had to go to Corporate. Initiated a claim. Lithia Toyota in Redding California is a Joke. 5 different Body shops said it's a clear coat issue. Dropped a review on they're Facebook Page.

 

17 pages. Had my local copy shop print it out. It's for the 2017s. But I got it anyway.

 

Don't you love dealerships??? Always ha bad experiences when stuff hits the fan. Good luck, sometimes even corporate will give you a tough time. Saying the dealer says it's fine so we won't cover it. Happened to me with Ford several times, but never for an issue with this much potential cost

 

Corporate called me. Going to send them all my estimates . Sounds promising but don't want to get my hopes up. All the estimates clearly state Clear Coat Failure.
