    Hello all,

I just drove home my NEW 2017 Taco and noticed that the PRNDL (Gear Shifter) is not lighting up...is this NORMAL or should I take it back to the Dealership??

    Thanks...

Mine lights up, but it's not a limited. I would assume the limited lights up though.

Lights were set to AUTO ON by the SalesPerson...I can check in the morning if flipping the LIGHTS to ON illuminates the Gear Shifter indicator and report back my findings.

3 weeks is not a long wait but hope you get to enjoy it after this issue is squared away.

    Morning all,

So I tried ALL 3 lighting positions - AUTO-ON-Parking and the GEAR SHIFT lights did NOT illuminate...so back to the Dealership I'll be heading...unfortunately they are NOT close to my home so I have to wait until the weekend, however, I will CALL this morning to report my findings.

    Thanks all for your replies.

It lights up in my 2017 Limited with the headlights on Auto. I can't say whether or not it lights up with the headlights off. In my opinion though, mine lights up too bright. I don't know if there's an easy way to dim it?

Yeah, I'm hoping it's not something as simple as DIMMING too low - I looked around the cabin and didn't see anywhere I could adjust this...
