Just purchased a 2017 Tacoma TRD sport - when I have the AC on you can hear the AC compressor kicking on and off, it seems. Does anyone else have this issue. Any suggestions would be great.

    Thank you,

I notice it on mine too, when I am stationary. Not sure of any suggestions, I thought it was normal.

It's not an issue, it's called normal operation.

Not every little freakin thing that ticks is an issue.

Have you ever owned a car before? This happens on most vehicles it just may be a little be louder on this one.

Mine is not loud, I cannot hear it turn off and on. I would not characterize what you have described as Normal.

Hey OP, I cannot hear mine at all inside the vehicle, but then I'm also not really listening for it. The injector cleaning cycle is much louder.

I'd take it in if it concerns you. Sounds like there could be an issue with the way the AC compressor clutch is engaging the pulley if it's too loud. I'd just keep an eye on it and take it in, even if everything is operating as normal, so that the dealer has recorded documentation of the concern.

    BTW, welcome to TW.
