this is my 1st Tacoma I own. I'm not looking for saving gas or power. Its what u want to do with this truck and your limitations. Rides smooth coz of the fox and the sound is irrelevant to me.

    Not much stock left.
Like many others in this thread, I would like to get a couple more inches of lift on my Pro. I currently have Toyo M/T 265/75/16's, but that's the only thing I've done so far.

Bray1197, you note a custom pack from Deaver. How would that compare to the Deaver U402 pack, and could I put a Deaver U402 pack on my Pro with the stock Fox suspension? It seems like I read somewhere on here that you got about 1.75" of more lift with the tires and Deavers?

Also, with the rear bumper mod you did, I assume that blocked out your camera?

    Thx.

A lot of stuff, just ask and I'd be happy to tell you. Or we could wheeling/camping

The Deaver pack I ordered they designed to perform the way the Pro suspension is designed with a 1.75" lift or close to it. It doesn't lift it as much as the other Deaver packs do. Plus mines designed for all the extra weight I carry! Can't compare bc I have no idea.....

For own the camera is blocked and the bsm/back up censors don't work, but that's what the bumpers for right lol

Plus bigger tires give a small amount of lift as well

Anyone have a preference on the intake for the TRD? K&N drop in over the AFE or TRD intakes?

I'm a stickler when it comes to consistency. I'd go w/ TRD

I figured as much being as Toyota would know how to best get their vehicles performing better. On the same token, I wonder how much power Toyota has hidden from us already in the light of the EPA and good MPG's

If Toyota cared about making the Tacoma perform, they would have done it instead of tuning it like a turd for grannies to drive. Orange Virus Tuning is making great progress with these Tacomas.

I can't remember where, but I read in another thread that the K&N intake was much louder than the TRD? Or maybe it was the other way around.

I have Nitto's 285/70/17's on my truck. Currently looking to replace the tires. The 285's are to much tire for me(and this truck); it doesn't track well, to heavy, and rubs.....but looks awesome:)
Suspension mod is OME BP51,SPC UCA's. The coilovers are set to 10mm which gives the truck a slight downward rake. I could bump the lift up on the front to stop the rubbing if that was the only issue.
Some options Ive looked at are 265/70/17, 255/75/17 and briefly 275/70/17 in an a/t tire. Not looking for a mud tire, for me in the pacific nw its logging roads, blast rock, and snow in the mountains. Looking for some suggestions?

I'm in the Puyallup area and I hear what you are saying about your needs for a tire. Currently I have the Cooper ST Maxx and really like them. Running 265/70 17. They are E rated and weigh in at 55lbs a piece but I do really like how they handle. If you needed something just a little bigger, they also make a 275/70 17 that is a good tire.

At some point I am going to move to the Falken Wildpeak tire as I feel for the daily driver the E rated tires are over kill. Look great, but over kill.

if you think your 265/70-17 ST Maxx's are overkill in E, then you should try them in 265/65-17. talk about tough little rocks. less sidewall than the 70 aspects, and a lot firmer.

    i love them. :cookiemonster:

Lots of rain. Rains too much. Summers have been off the charts amazing the last six years though.
