    Hey everyone,

So this is my 2017 Tacoma TRD Off-Road DCSB. Hands down, let me say. I love it. There was a time I was considering going full size, but I’m happy I didn’t now. Not to mention the increased costs of going full size..

To the build. I’ll start with the name.. Gotta thank the girlfriend for that one. One day she just said, why don’t you name it Desert Storm since it’s tan in colour, and the name stuck.

Onto the goods. It was an easy beginning. Suspension, bumper with a winch, and snorkel.. Did the homemade diff breather extension, super easy. Onwards to the TRD grill, followed by the roof rack, and bed rack. My tent I’ve owned since 2015, was a simple drop on. Then I got into the wiring.

There’s a couple great write ups on wiring on this forum, and that’s what I used. Set up so it only works when the head lights are on to save the battery from draining if anything would be left on. The lights are from Amazon, and just used knockoffs since ARB and Rigids were a fortune to me at the time. Looking back, I’ll upgrade the spots and light bar to a brand like Rigid. Maybe, if I have the cash, the ARB spots as well.

    Parts used are below.
