yes indeed MT's are tough to get or just take a lot of time. i put down a deposit end of August, and i hear i may receive my truck this week. super white... first MT Pro delivery in the gulf states region, or so I've been told.

i asked about getting a red one, but for the gulf states that would be 3 more months or so. instead i think the right move is stick with my first in line position and grab the first MT in Texas. that's worth dancing about.

    Stock... for now.
    Thank you!

Well, the Air Force will ship one personal vehicle stateside for free... Unfortunately I'll have two with the Tacoma addition, so I'll be paying for this one unfortunately. I've been quoted by two private shipping companies both are $1800-2200 (with a 3 month heads up). Do you think I should turn down the extended warranty? I've never owned a Toyota, though I understand they have a good rep when it comes to reliability. I can change my mind on the protection plan up until its delivered.

not sure if you've watched this forum much, but there have been some widespread various issues with the 3rd gens, such as AT issues, diff issues, and the like. if it were me, i would wait until the last possible time to consider an ext warranty, because some of the folks affected around here were able to get a comp'd extended warranty from Toyota... of course these were for the particularly bad cases. since your truck is new, i'd be inclined to find out what you got before spending more cash on it in this situation. but i'm not exactly sure when the last moment of opting in would be.

Thanks, I appreciate the heads up. I'll see how long I can hold off on it. =]

I would just hold off on the ext warranty...You can also's buy it later before the 3/36 expires, and prob for cheaper.

Good points...Yes there has been issues with the Gen 3. I am @ 1500 miles and no issues. A/T is doing fine, etc. So far so good.

That's awesome glad for you I believe we're in the same boat here in Colorado since I went to 3 different dealers to put a hold and they where so clueless to even saying we don't think it comes in M/t so we are so excited we are probably going to be the first in super white and m/t here in Colorado!

Yeah I'm with you there. I'm in New England and I put a deposit down on a Cement M/T the last week of July. The build date was mid-November, so hopefully it will be here soon.

Haha cool, maybe our Pros will come in together!

I don't think so, Tacoma's are so damn popular in SoCal they barely discount normal Tacos, let alone a Pro lol. I do have the College Grad discount I can use so that's $750 off, but I'm asking for a factory Tonneau cover which is $650 so I guess I'm getting $100 bucks off MSRP? Better than nothing?

What kind of Pro did you order? Bestment, Alt-Right, or Ferrari?

No tonneau from factory available on the Pro

Possibly a dealer add on (I'm unsure on this)

Yeah I figured as much since you can't add the cover to a Pro on Toyota's website. I've seen other Pros with the OEM cover so I know it's definitely possible to install, the Pro doesn't change anything in the truck's bed.

Just want to have the dealer install it and call it a day.

I think we're all in the longo pipeline... there were a few at pros between here and San Diego a while back, but no mt's to be had. Here's hoping to March deliveries... or one of you cancels on a Barcelona Mt ;).
