Good luck, keep us posted. You'll want to talk to the Fleet Manager.

I ordered the truck from the internet sales manager. He has been there for 17 years and seemed to know everything about the transaction. I will try and deal with him first and see if he has the answers.

Ordering a Pro goes like this.

    1. You go into a dealer, place down a deposit. The dealer hopefully will get an allocation for a Pro. If they don't, game over already, unless you snag one up that someone ordered and passed up on. Dealers only get so many allocations each year for Pros, with larger volume dealers getting more since they sell more vehicles.
    2. Hurrah, you got an allocation! Now you need to wait for Toyota to build your truck. This process takes anywhere from a month to several months, depending on your luck and the schedule of the San Antonio Taco factory.
    3. Truck is built, yay! Wait for it to arrive at your dealership via freight train or truck. If something goes wrong here, you can be stuck waiting for a while while your truck is in shipping limbo.
    4. Truck is finally delivered to dealer. Yay! Go to dealer to finish the deal.
    5. ???
    6. Profit and enjoy your new Taco.

Surprised they let you place a deposit for a Cement Pro MT. I bought mine in early March and I was told at that point that Toyota was done building MT Pros and all the allocations were spoken for.

    Good luck!

Wow... I put my deposit down on March 24th. Is it possible they just took it and are sitting on it with no knowledge that it will never be made? The exact truck I want is in 2 dealers on cars.com for the same price I paid. I could literally go pick it up on a weekend.

It is possible that they took your deposit with no idea if they're getting an allocation. Always better to take the deposit initially and hope that they get one, and if they don't they can always refund you.

With that said, allocations can usually take some time before they're...allocated. I placed a deposit for my Pro but I had a rather unique experience buying mine so allocation wait time for me is N/A.

Best thing for you to do is probably check with your salesperson/dealer to see if you got an allocation, and if they can't guarantee it go to the dealers that you know have your truck. Although you should call them beforehand. Most of the time Pros are sold well before they are taken off the dealer's website.

Don't panic just yet. Call the dealer tomorrow and see what they say. Where do you live?

Your better off at this point just locating one like your said on Cars.com. Buy a one way ticket, and enjoy the drive home to KY.....I think at this point there are not going to be much more Cements built.

What I learned from my experience is don't put all your eggs in one basket. Sometimes you need to have several dealers working to locate your trick or just fly and drive it back. That's what I did. Allocation can suck.

Just got off the phone with Toyota... They DON'T have an allocation. They just submitted it and are now hoping for the best. He said they have not been told no, but they have not been told yes. This really pissed me off as I could have been finding and purchasing another truck now. I told them I would come in and talk to them in 2 weeks when my Air Force TDY ended.

    That is pretty shady business.

I just found the exact truck I want which happens to be on the drive home from my TDY. I have been in contact with the dealership and applied for their credit. They have pictures of my trade and we are working out the details. This is probably WAY better than waiting on a build.

LOL. I will hopefully be financed through Toyota financial for around 2 or 3 percent. But yeah, around these training bases these poor kids are getting raped every day. I feel bad for them.

I would have told them to return the deposit immediately and that would have been the end of business with them.

I have a feeling that is coming in a few hours. Just want to make sure everything is wrapped up with the new dealer before I cancel an order that "might" happen.

You never know what can happen. Literally drove up to get an TRD OR Sat and the salesman called me on the drive up and said they had a Pro. Swooped that thing up. Their dealer markup is a joke tho... Good luck man.
