Co-workers suggested just that. Tempting, but I'm saving the leave for an epic, 4-week, post-divorce vacation to Grand Teton NP, Rocky Mountain NP, & Grand Canyon NP in September/October (w/ last 72 hours in Vegas.) The future plans and leave used over last 6 months getting through the divorce have me a bit reluctant to 'go to the well' too often.

Understood. Went through a divorce years ago, know what you are going through. Five and a half hours to go!

Well brethren, officially joined the ranks last night. Waiting list since July last year. So worth it.

I'm going to post the question here because I don't want to make a thread and get :crapstorm:

Does anyone have experience with traction bars?

I feel like my truck really needs one because I feel sort of a slinky like bounce when I get on the gas. I know it's a truck characteristic but I'd like to minimize it. Also when it was snowing and I was sort of stuck the truck was hoping allot and I'm told this will also be eliminated. One last thing is if I put the e brake on and I'm loading or unloading something when I'm on the bed I still feel the truck rocking.

Just want some opinions, maybe someone has had one in a previous generation tacoma? Will this add stress to the drivetrain system or will I not face any problems in the future if I add one?

Any input is welcome and thank you in advance.

PRO definitely has put an even bigger smile on my face post-divorce! Originally planned to drive in the new ride for vacation, but 6 days of just driving (minimum!!!) persuaded me to spend the coin to fly.

Gonna be on a barrier island this weekend at least 1.5 miles from asphalt. It's been well over 20 years since I had that freedom.

On the "quick" to-do list (as opposed to the "slow" to-do list?!?).

    Thanks for kick in backside.

Edit: I'm drooling on the swing-out a couple posts above.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I like that BAKFlip design a lot. And I'd like a trifold cover if possible. As far as a rack or cap, I just prefer the look of a cover more.

My hesitation is that I want to install a mounting rail on the front of the bed to use a fork mount for my mtn bike and it doesn't look like I could have both...a hard or trifold cover w a front rail system used to mount my bike. Am I missing something or do I need to go w a soft cover if I want to use a fork mount?
