2017 TRD PRO, who's waiting?

I put in a request to remove items from my build being its officially not built yet, my scenario is more of a "crossing our fingers!" The mgr I'm working with was confident they could remove these add-ons from my build being we were in front of it but no guarantees. This would take effort from the store you're working with and who's to say they're willing to go the effort to get this done for you. This store I'm working with put in the request, they wont know if it was approved until we see pricing. I'm in the SE and where a number of regions have seen pricing today/yesterday, as of now the SE has not.

 

I feel a little better knowing I'm not the only one being taken advantage of. I'll push on the dealer a little harder to see what I can do.

 

It's only $699, only 1.5% of the cost of the vehicle. A puny 1.5%. In the grand cost of things, not much.

Well, it is already primed. Just paint over it.

 

Except I don't want that shitty roof rack. If I rack it up, I'm doing it my way. I don't want to be stuck with theirs and all the wind noise/drag.

 

Or, ya know.... the holes into the roof...

 

If you're flush with money, 20K isn't a lot. But most people find that additional amount, dealer markup (and you know its going to be marked up) and insurance costs of a Raptor a little to rich
for their blood. But not everyone is rich.

 

Pretty sure every taco has holes in roof for future expansion. They are just covered by the molding strip

 

THOSE OPTIONS ARE NOT FACTORY INSTALLED...If they will not remove them for you Im sure another dealer will...Being a dealer myself I can assure you that

Indeed, 4 door models do for sure... they're sealed though. Not installed in a timely manner, by a tech

They're not factory installed but they're on the build specs so it would take some intervention from the dealer he's working with to get them removed from the build as I did in my case. It seems as though you work at a great dealership like the one I'm working with that is "willing" to work with there customers to assure satisfaction - kudos' to you! Now is that super white you show there spoken for yet???

 

those are port installed options..seeing as how the truck has not been built yet nor has it shipped to the regions distribution center they have not been installed...Its as easy as 4 mouse clicks to remove options

 

Good stuff, then I hope mine comes without the unwanted paint protection film allotted for my build. they did share it shouldn't be any issue to remove.

kinda odd the DPH only went up $5 from last year compared to Toyota jumping from 900 to 940 for DPH for the Tacoma.
