That's not easy to do in tight parking spots or the garage. Basically, most of the time that I get in an out, the first door opening detent is all the room there is. I gotta get out of suburbia!

I'm 5' 6" and it's fine for me. I drive a chevy company truck and I feel like granny because I can barely see over the steering wheel....hate the truck.

I'm 6'0 with long legs and a short torso. I sit comfortably when I am in, but getting in, I always smack my knee on the steering wheel and it's raised up all the way.

I’m right foot in first to the brake pedal. Grab the steering wheel and pull my left foot up. Learned this technique getting in my truck with a full brace on after ACL surgery. Saves my seat fabric too..

I'm 5'8"- 5-9" and feel like this truck is the perfect size for me. No problems getting in and out and I drive hours on end and stay suprisingly comfortable.

The seating feels low to some because the floor is higher up than average to give the truck more clearance for off-roading and such.

I do run into this problem actually and it is slightly annoying but definitely a first world problem if ever there was one ha

I am 5"-10" and fit fine, but I would not complain if a little more adjustment in the seats if it were offered.

If you rotate your head to the passenger side, then the angle works. Yup, FWP confirmed.

Call me an idiot (I do that all the time), but I'm just unwilling to yank on the wheel daily. If I was hurt, of course I would. I'm just looking at keeping this beast long term and I have a habit of destroying shit.

I'm 6'4", and I have no trouble at all with the seat. I like the layout because, even though I'm driving a truck, it feels like I'm behind the wheel of a large car.

The downside, though, is that my Taco is effectively a 3-person vehicle because I have the drivers seat back pretty far. Legroom is tight behind the driver's seat, and the rear middle seat sucks in every way.

There really is very little room for seat adjustment in Tacos.

Yeah I hear you about the long term thing. I wouldn’t say I am really putting much strain on my wheel. I find it a necessity to guide my feet into my truck without kicking the shit out of my interior. Years of work boot heels hitting your door sill dose a number on your paint.

    You could try spacers?

If you're out on the road, grab some Grade 10.9 M10x50mm 1.25 pitch bolts and a stack of washers to make a 1.0in tall spacer. Remove the rear seat bolts, install the washer stack under the seat, and torque the new bolt to 37N-m.

Folks have gone up to 2.0in, I think. The stock bolts are M10x25mm. You need to add 25mm for each inch you go up. I did some very rough calcs that showed 1.0in was good for a survivable crash.

Our local auto parts store (O'Reillys) had a pack of three Grade 10.9 M10x50mm 1.25 pitch bolts for $3.99. Ace had them also for about $2.80 each.

The spacers really improved the comfort for my wife.

Due to the seat design, you can only add spacers to the rear of the seat.

No doubt there are compromises to be had. I may brake down and try on of the webbing hand loops. No a fan of the look though, but function over form, right?

    ...stuff
Get spacers for the seat mounts or sit on a phone book? Maybe you can get a step stool to get in to the truck and then sit on it afterwards? How short we talking?
