Knowing Jeep quality, statistically one rubber hose will go bad every 10k.

Keeping the revs up and dealing with turbo lag while on a technical trail would be "interesting" to say the least.

^Oh the Jeep Ohio plant has been known to make some absolutely silly assembly errors, like putting matte and glossy fender flares on different sides of the same vehicle, or putting brake calipers on the wrong side (so the bleeder is on the bottom)

BFG AT KO2 will be a factory tire for some trim levels, in 285/70-17 size (33"). Wonder if the Duratracs will be on Rubicon trim, while KO2 will be on lesser trim levels?

They had a hard enough time making a 3 piece top that doesn't leak. NO. WAY. this roof wont leak.

Come to think of it, I haven't seen any spy shots or renders of the 2-door Wrangler. Hope they don't go the way of the Tacoma regular cab...

No way would they kill the two door. The two door jeep is an icon.

Ecodiesel 2-door Rubicon may replace the Taco. Been waiting 10 years for a decent engine option to get back in a Jeep.

I had a Cherokee with the 4.0 and a wrangler with the 3.6 and I thought that the 3.6 was decent. Don't know if it lasts forever like the 4.0 yet but it had plenty of power and torque for my two door.

Yeah, guess I worded that badly. Not saying anything is wrong with the newer engines (although my buddy had several issues with the 3.8 in his '07), they're just not "inspiring" for lack of a better word. I've been waiting on a Hemi or a diesel.

    We'll see. 2-door accounted for 20% of Wrangler production in 2016. http://www.wk2jeeps.com/Misc/Wrangler/2016/2016_Wrangler_Global_Production_01.jpg
Toyota killed the reg cab Taco when sales fell below ~15%.
Photos basically confirm the suspension is carried over from the JK.

A 4 door pickup Jeep with a diesel and 6 speed manual is my dream vehicle. Unfortunately it will be years before I can swing one. Without a shadow of a doubt they will be over $40,000 and with some options I'd venture to bet they will be closer to $50,000.

    For giggles:
2017 JKU Rubicon - Hard Top, Uconnect, Tow Package = $42,100 MSRP

On the ram Web page the EcoDiesel is mysteriously gone, perhaps due to the new allegations. But, a quick search found that the upgrade from the Pentstar was about $4000.

So, we're looking at $46,100 ROUGHLY for a diesel Wrangler diesel. If it's even offered, if it's available with a 6 speed and if they don't change the MSRP. Not to mention I'm sure they truck will be an additional upgrade above and beyond that. I'd feel save on figuring $50,000 before TTL. That's a big old pill to swallow. $4000 more than a 2017 TRD Pro Tundra.... I think at that price point it's going to be a tough sell.
