Looks great black. I did the same on my sport grill, but eventually switched to the Pro grill.

I bought the SR bezel as well. I am one of the few that doesn’t like the pro grille. The 2018 grille looks clean to me already I just hated the chrome.

There are two tabs that hold the wiring onto the grille up high, not by the emblem. Squeeze so they push through. They you can hold the connector upside down, there is a little tab that holds the connector together, it makes sense once you see it upside down. Use your thumb to depress, then pull, it comes out really easy once you hold it right. Goes back in with an audible click so you know it's in. Good luck. Go slow. It's really easy.

Thanks for the explanation. I knew something had to be holding the two plugs together. I got the tabs but didn’t see the bottom of the plug. I will try it out sometime this week.

This Black SR Bezel is good stuff for the 18' black grills... Going this route instead of Pro Grill for the time being. I like the idea of my dealership not having any reason to void my warranty if there was a result of my TSS failing too ToyotaTacomaTRD... My truck is going to look very similar to yours except Cement Gray before all is said and done!

Thanks. I'm happy with how it's turning out. Tires are probably next but I won't be doing too much more. Glad all the chrome is gone.

I did not buy the SR parts but instead used plasti dip until I want to spend the money on replacing the bumper caps and bezel. I believe the below links will point you in the right direction.

    Bumper and Component Link: https://www.oemgenuineparts.com/aut...gine/body-cat/bumper-and-components-rear-scat

    Right Bumper Cap: https://www.oemgenuineparts.com/oem...9dGFjb21hJnk9MjAxNiZ0PXNyJmU9My01bC12Ni1nYXM=

    Left Bumper Cap: https://www.oemgenuineparts.com/oem...9dGFjb21hJnk9MjAxNiZ0PXNyJmU9My01bC12Ni1nYXM=

    Grille Surround Black: https://www.oemgenuineparts.com/oem...9dGFjb21hJnk9MjAxNiZ0PXNyJmU9My01bC12Ni1nYXM=

These are for the 2016 SR models but I am pretty positive this is what some people have been buying to replace the OR TRD Chrome Bezel and Bumper Caps.

Please someone correct me if I am wrong.

Yea I am honestly not sure since I didn’t go tha route. I have seen post where people have bought the SR black bumper and it fits, not sure where they got the part since it say it doesn’t fit.

I remember when everyone hated the 2018 grille leaks.

Yeah I agree. The new grille looks cleaner and more elegant. The Pro looks too busy for my taste.

I also agree. A little too much dull plastic.
