Actually I think he’s very close Karl. We have no idea what code, the dealer response as relayed to us makes no sense. No need for anyone to be harsh about it though.

The Op wasn't asking what the issue was at all. They were asking if there were going to be further issues after the repair or if they should trade in for a newer vehicle.

But if you don't know what the issues are then we cannot pass judgement. What op said makes no sense so no judgement.

I interpret it as if they're asking if there are other issues with the truck, either related or unrelated to the current issue because they believed it to be "bulletproof". I could be wrong, but that's just how I saw it. :notsure:

We first he says I can’t change a tire, then he said I have a purse that I put the code in so I lost it , then he says I can tell me partner I’m so smart now so I must be gay as well. All this from a guy I don’t know. I come on this board to ask questions, to help others areas I’ve experienced and review products I’ve purchased to help others make a better informed decision. It’s no that I can’t take a joke except this is semi serious for me and I come here for support from my brothers who I support

More and more on this forum there are those that only post to shit on others for no particular reason other than, I guess, to make them feel better about their own useless miserable lives. It's best just to ignore them. They want you to call them out on their ill-mannered behavior so they can accuse you of being offended. Most of them catch a ban sooner or later and of course blame everyone else but themselves for it.

Pretty much an 'educated guess' and a bit of luck.

I just recalled a couple other posts with similar symptoms and that was the cause.

If we assume (and we pretty much have to) that the techs will do a quality job here, *I* wouldn't worry about keeping the truck and using it like nothing ever happened.

Glad its diagnosed and resolved on their dime.

Do you remember the outcome. Did they update? He did say it was a nightmare of a job. It’s a complete tear down which makes anyone concerned

If it's a burnt valve I don't understand the term 'complete teardown'. You've got one head to remove. Not saying that's especially easy with all the new tech under there, but nightmare seems a bit harsh, especially for folks who do this for a living.

I think whoever you are speaking with (service advisor) doesn't have much of a clue, other than how to exaggerate.

Here is one of the threads. Post 25 is a clue.
