Haha the fucking tool is back. His life must be so miserable and boring to be hanging out here in every engine thread. So sad…

None of those are breakdowns and you pick the screenshot that has 400,000 mile thread. Good job, not good job lol.

FYI I've spent more time driving a 3rd gen than I do my 2nd gen.

No idea, and the dealership was not informative. The mechanical damage seemed to be the exhaust valves on cyl. 3....the service writer said they were not sealing. I was surprised that the engine must be removed to pull a head. The only indication was a "check engine" light. I will say that my gas milage has improved though, with the new head.

Oh man, the lack of writing proficiency here is (unironically) better than the low-rent insults!

There have always been people who say every new Toyota truck model sucks since before Tacoma even existed.

Yeah most everyone knows it’s all in good fun and not meant to offend but there are a few that take it personally I think but if I think I actually have offended someone I try and apologize. There are unfortunately some that come here just to make crappy comments and never add anything useful but honestly I find those clowns pretty entertaining to but other members get kinda annoyed about it.

Well played sir. Tacoma only gets driven a little these days. Most the time I go to the Corolla for the mpgs. Don’t need a new truck to look at in the driveway especially when both of these and the wife’s fusion are all payed off. Enjoy you monthly payment sucker!!

Doesn’t seem like they are giving you the runaround at all based on that pic. And voila, a code finally appears. The brother code of the one I thought you may have (P11EC). I believe the usual solution is a new head.

Thank you Bill for your prediction. Thank you everyone for your support. It’s stressful to deal with I’ll admit. I couldn’t have baby or done right by this this anymore than I did. 08349615-6206-4A41-A5EA-19CB8066AA17.jpg08349615-6206-4A41-A5EA-19CB8066AA17.jpg

We're you noticing any issues other than the code? I'm getting a ticking noise that sounds like metal clicking and I'm almost sure I might have the same issue, but I don't have a check engine light yet.

I really hope you not bro!! I’d feel really bad if you did. First indication was slightly worse mpg.. VERY SLIGHT. An occupational not quite 100% full power once in a while but very slight. Nothing to worry me or to take it in. Just thought maybe getting older as normal. Still ran bad ass. But when check engine light came on I KNEW it was bad news. It had no reason in my mind to come on. No tick or clanging or rough idle. You do know that when the engine does it cleaning cycle there’s a noticable tick until it’s done. You know that right? Is that the tick? If there’s no code to check I don’t know how you would find out there is an imbalance in the cylinders? Sorry wish I could help
