2018 piston value issue updated 8/14/22

Gonna be closer to 5-6 weeks. Need to order 4 new valves.

Did they pull your engine to fix the head that’s what my dealer is telling me

 

my experience is in the thread below. The repair was under warranty, and involved replacing the right head. Yes the engine was removed as part of the process. Apparently, the timing chain cover cannot be removed with the engine in the truck....which does not sound like a great design to me.
Toyota provided a new head and valves for the #3 cylinder.
