So I have searched around and maybe I am not doing it right but I cannot find a concrete answer what is an equivalent to the 18 PRO front struts and rear shocks, or slightly better. I am getting my wheels tomorrow and wanted to install front and back suspension before the wheels so I can do 1 alignment. I only saw one post that suggested this may be an equivalent:

    https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/store/p400/FOX_Level_1_Kit_-_16__Tacoma.html

No offense to that place but it seems like a small operation and I may not even get a response that quick let alone some quick shipping.

I don't want anything crazy, maybe just the height of a pro or slightly higher, hopefully a kit that has the fronts already assembled and all 4 ready to install.

So, if anyone can give me some info, even a place I could place an order today with and hopefully get expedited shipping (maybe a place like summit) I would really appreciate it!

    Thanks!

I have not dealt with headstrong, but when it comes time I will. This is based on all the positive feedback and many many recommendations. They are worth a try, I believe its Marie that every one says to call.

Hey! I run https://www.**********.com/ and would be happy to get you set up! We have almost everything Fox, Icon and King in stock for the Tacomas.

If you don't mind spending the coin and want the best ride quality and performance, the Fox 2.5 series with the DSC (dual speed compression) adjusters would give you the most versatility and performance. You can fine tune around town slow speed driving and high speed on the highway or off road. It also helps a bunch if you tow or haul often.

    https://www.**********.com/collecti...a-fox-factory-series-2-5-reservoir-dsc-shocks

The best option for the rear would be the Icon multi-rate leaf springs, They are also adjustable so you can add or remove certain leafs if you need more lift or weight carrying capacity down the road without having to buy a new leaf pack each time. They are progressive too so ride around town is superb and they will help with hauling as well and prevent sagging much better than the stock leaf pack.
    https://www.**********.com/collecti...ucts/2005-toyota-tacoma-icon-rxt-leaf-springs

I can also get you going with an equivalent kit as their level 1.

Send me a message and we can chat some more and work out an awesome package deal!

At north of 3k I heard it is overpriced for what you get but then again I know peoples insights are 50% bs and 50% truth from actual experience so I will do some more research on them.

The Tacoma TRD Pro shocks are more equivalent to the Fox 2.0+ kit. Pro's are Likely better than the Fox 2.0 kit sold as an aftermarket kit. The TRD Pro's are full 2.5 internal bypass reservoir shocks.

Marie is the person to contact. I purchased the same kit from @HeadStrong Off-Road. Word of caution, my rear shocks leaked after 5,000 miles. Had to send back to Fox to have them rebuilt under warranty. If you live in the salt belt, I recommend purchasing the boots to go with the rear shocks. Fox factory said the seals deteriorated from the grime. I replaced them with Bilstein 5160's and could not be happier. The Fox's are still sitting in my basement.

Just wanted to give a quick heads up to everyone. Since posting this thread Roman from https://www.**********.com has been amazing. He is giving me the run down not only on what I thought I wanted but other options, pricing is super and customer service so far through the roof. I literally didn't know him before he responded to me today, thank you Roman, looking forward to making my final decision soon.

Are you looking for Pro equivalent shocks or just Pro equivalent ride height?

There are very few aftermarket options for internal bypass shocks (OME, Bilstein, maybe a few others). Fox 2.0s, 2.5s etc with adjusters are not going to provide position sensitive damping as you'd get with a bypass... But many of the aftermarket options do provide adjustable ride height (which you don't get with the OEM Pro units).

I’ve been running the same rears for 2 years and 85k miles through 2 iowa winters with no issues. I’ve had them coated in tons of grime, mud, snow, etc.

Hi, thanks, mainly the height. I am leaning toward just the 2.0s in front and back but I am still researching.

The Fox reps treated me fairly an honored thier warranty. The tech I spoke with directly correlated the grime with the seal failure. YMMV.

This with no options would be closer to the Pro suspension.
