A BRZ lsd fits in the front? That’s interesting. I loved those diffs in my cars, best oem LSD I’ve ever had.

I regeared my 17 5MT to 5.29 and absolutely love it. Currently on Patagonia M/Ts (265/75R16) which run nearly 32". Turns around 2900 rpm at roughly 65mph. Perfect for when jumping up to 33's or 35's but still fine even at 32". First is a tad too short but I don't mind it. It would probably be 100% perfect in an automatic truck

I just recently started getting interested on regearing my 2.7L 2WD. It gets really bad on the freeway especially with hills, plus the weight of the roof top tent and camping gear. I never did consider it because it would be expensive. Around how much would it be to regear?

Get 4.88 if you plan on bigger tires and or a bumper.

I would for sure run 285s if I regear. I'm even thinking about doing it now, but pretty sure will not be fun to drive.

I didnt read that all the way through but since you have a tent and stuff go 5.29. My truck would be undrivable if i didn't have them. The rpms arnt bad. Like 3k at 75

I know prices vary depending on location, but how much did you pay for yours?

I got East coast gear supply to regear my diffs and then send them to me in the mail and did the install myself. I wanna say just the regear was like $800 and something. But that's if you install them yourself which if you have the tools its not that bad at all. especially since your 2wd and dont have to do the front.

Damn that's not bad. I guess it would be a lot more with labor. I just have to do more research and see if I can or want to do it myself.

Thanks man! The assembled thirds are definitely the way to go to save a ton of money ... that can then go toward more Tacoma mods.
