    Unfortunately it's the internet and without specific source's, it's hard to believe. I wouldn't drive a diesel Tacoma if someone gave it to me, not worth the headache.

    As far as there being more warranty work on 3rd gens... I'm having more warranty work done on my 3rd gen than my 2nd for sure. Why? All of this information at my fingertips I didn't have when I purchased the 2nd gen. I'm having tsb's performed when I had no idea what a tsb was previously, I'm sure I'm not alone. My hood on my 2nd gen flapped all around, on my 3rd gen, I'm getting it fixed because I read about on here and realized it was a problem and they will fix it. Is the 3rd gen better than the 2nd gen, probably not. But it's still a great truck.

    Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
    Didn't Toyota recently release a bulletin saying they'd never bring diesel anything to the US market? Sorry but the Big Three owns the diesel truck market here and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Sales of the diesel Colorado aren't that high and I'm sure Toyota is watching that to see if there's even a demand. I'm sure there's a huge markup on price for a diesel Colorado and most people that want one probably opt for the bigger, more capable 6.6l version in the full size trucks.

    If you cant say who, what date would this be announced by?

    There's like 15 other threads where it was said a source high up at Toyota tells me that for sure it's happening. Then years go by and well... here we are.
