Thanks for having me here folks

I will be in the market for a new Tacoma in August and wondered what features, if any, 2019 models may have over 2018’s?
Also, when are New Years typically released?

Only thing we know about 2019 is TRD Pro is getting a snorkel and a new blue

    Look it up on google.

It’s all speculation at this point. Plenty of info about the Pro though. Shouldn’t be much different. Just buy an ‘18 if it’s this year in August. Most new models are released just after that timeframe.

Apple play, yes, I believe that's confirmed already. Power seat's, probably not. Just my guess.

Power seats are good to have but really much do people readjust their seat when they get it where they want it? Unless others are driving the truck, no need to readjust. Could just be me though. Also, it’s much quicker to bring the seat back and forth manually if you are cleaning the truck etc. I would rather have more off road worth features than a powered seat. Just my opinion though.

A pillar grab handle won’t happen due to airbags

Power seats give way more adjustment. If power seats were offered in the 18s, I wouldn't have had to cancel my order on a premium package truck because I would have fit without hitting my head on the headliner because of the sunroof.

Gotcha. I can see the rational behind that. I just couldn’t figure out why people are always complaining about not having them when I never readjust mine. Lol. Thanks man.

Airbag has nothing to do with grab handle. Passenger side has grab handle and airbag.

My thoughts too, people are wanting them for more adjustability.

Plus, 2nd Gens had Airbags and grab handles, my thoughts are that its a cost cutting maneuver.

Power seats are nice. You are right saying they are slower than manual adjustments, but they are also more precise, and many have a memory setting. No more of the muttering "Damn it still doesn't fee quite right, maybe this isn't where I had it before so-and-so moved my friggin seat :annoyed:"

As for readjusting the seat(s) and the frequency in which it is done...
My wife has a 2018 Rav with power seats, it has a 2 driver memory. When she drives is is set for her seating preference, however if we go someplace together in her Rav I typically drive. I frequently will take her car to fill it up on the weekend. I even just drive it occasionally, that allows me to see how close it is to needing service, hear any odd sounds it may have developed, ect.

I can just hop in hit driver #2 and the seat is exactly how I like it; she can hit #1 to put it to her preferences after I have driven it. This happens 2 - 4 weekends each month, so her seats are adjusted about 4 to 16 times each week.

The power seats with memory is what I would like to have, if they have no memory setting then I agree that it is not needed for me.
