I heard that all trims will have a hood scoop option, but the sport will be the only one that is functional.

Are we certain that the snorkel will only be an option on the Pro and not standard on on all Tacoma trims like TSS?

Well let’s think about it, they have to add something to a body that’s not changing, so maybe:

Keyless entry on ALL door handles instead of just drivers door for push to start models?

    Power seats?

    Remote start (select trims)?

Power locking tail gate (fob models)?

True HIDs or Bi-Xenon to complement thier projecter bulb housings? I mean even the Prius and corolla have that $hit.

Like someone mentioned, all speculations but they have to offer a tad more each year I would think. 2017 to 2018 was nearly identical except for TSS.

When they offer all of that and a slice of apple CarPlay, I’ll trade in!

That’s pretty much the list (and the long shot — bring back drivers grab handle) of everything that they could do to make it better.

Can I hope they put the power sliding rear window in the SR double cabs!

You can track the slow additions to the SR over the years...
Tow package, now MDI, maybe the rear slider will have me look at one a little more.

I kind of wish there were more changes. That way when someone mentioned some new feature I could post "that's why I'm glad I got an 18" like the 17 owners do now when anything TSS related is mentioned on the forum.

    I'm glad I got a '17 w/o all the nanny features!

No, wait... at least some of the 18s didn't have to deal w/ leaky diffs, failed CPS, howling diffs, warped rotors, obscene fuel pumps. In hindsight maybe I would have dealt with TSS to have less issues. No, probably not. I like being able to see through the middle of my windshield. :)

After having TSS on my wife's rav4, there wasn't any way i was buying a new truck without. I was ready to purchase in 16, but waited 2 years until it was finally released in 18. One road trip with adaptive cruise and it makes it all worth it.

yeah, you're probably right. I rarely use cruise partly b/c I'm always cancelling it. Living in the East it's rare to be on an interstate where there's enough open road that you don't have to constantly cancel it so I just don't bother. adaptive cruise could change that. some day.

I reeeeeally hope someday Toyota makes the TRD pro in trail team army green. Most of the TRD pro's seem to be old FJ colors anyways so it could happen.

You might be waiting a while. I count no less than 11 blues on this old Toyota paint code card from 1973.

That would be excellent. Or a dark metallic green. Bring on green.

I'm on my third 3rd gen... and finally have what I want... but an army green may make me tempted...
