I doubt they’re really worrying about that at all. I do agree it would be cool to see Honda make a real mans truck someday. I like Honda’s. Wife has an HRV and it’s a great vehicle.

Father in law has one. I’ve driven it on a few occasions. I usually fly when I see the in laws so he just hands me his keys so I have something to drive around. It’s not my Tacoma, it’s not anything like a truck. It’s just different. But it is great at what it is. It drives well, has some functionality. I would love to see Honda jump in and compete with Toyota. I am anti-Nissan frontier so another Japanese mid-sized truck could really mix up the market a bit. I’d be curious to see what they come up with. Wife drives a 2018 CR-V and it’s packed with cool features.

If by what you mean, it's standard is fwd, when it senses slip it kicks awd in. Unless you change drive mode to snow, etc.

I wonder if the Honda engineer who designed the Ridgeline realized it’s main use wouldn’t be to transport groceries or ferry kids to soccer practice.

No, it’s primary function is to troll the 3rd gen forum of TacomaWorld.

FWD or AWD are the only two options. They don't make a RWD or a selective/part-time 4wd version.

The Ridgeline suits the needs of 90% of current truck owners.

I didn't care to even test drive it because it's unattractive, I'm not a fan of IRS, and it has poor towing capacity. Based on pictures, I like the interior. I like Honda's reputation for reliability. I like the utility features. That's about it.

It really is a pos, we have one at work as a spare vehicle when a truck goes down. I stick to driving one of our Fords, Dodges or Isuzu’s and I’m not a fan of any of these.

    This. All. Day. Long.

There are a pile of users right here that never need more than a Ridgeline would offer. Ever.

Mall crawling, gravel campgrounds, graded roads, cross country runs, mediocre towing.
