No. But what I agree with is the fact that a rl would be a better ride for 90% of taco owners 90% of the time. Spacer lifts and mall crawling can get done in the Honda as well.
As for the lower ground clearance, I'll take a Subaru Forester all day everyday over a rl. I don't know the GC, but I much prefer the subie awd to the slip in grip in most Honda's. The SH-awd mght be a push. I've owned 2 subies and found them very predictable in bad weather.
The rl is simply to unfortunate looking to even be on my radar. I'm willing to bet most here feel that way as well.

Deep snow? I've driven a ford fiesta with snow tires in 7+ inches of snow with pretty much no issues. I'm sure the ridgline could handle plenty of snow with the right tires.

You are the prototypical ridgeline hater though. You list issues that only enthusiast truck owners would run into without giving consideration that 90%(or more) of midsize owners dont do anything that the RL couldnt do.

I mean, it's the equivalent of a 4Runner owner snickering at a Highlander owner for not wanting the vastly superior 4Runner!

    Isn't the Highlander a uni-body?

You can make a number of outcomes depending on what the test is. For example in this video, the Ridgeline does ok, while Tacoma Off Road destroys its rear shocks. If you just looked at this one video you may conclude that RL is way better Offroad than Tacoma Off Road package? We all know that's not the case, just like that one vid where the transmission overheated in the RL tells us nothing about why that might have happened. Makes for high view count though. Both vids.

My wife’s pilot is a nice place to sit. Handles our local washboard dirties well enough. Not sure its built to take that punishment long term though.

    Yes.

As long as someone gets their needs and wants met with a vehicle, regardless of what it is, why should anyone be made fun of? Sure, I don’t like the looks or unibody of the ridge line, others don’t like the looks of the 3rd gen or 4runner........who cares? If we all had the same taste in cars, it’d be pretty boring on the roads.

The 4Runner is body-on-frame, the Highlander is a unibody. The post I responded to seemed to be implying that the two are apples to apples.

The Ridgeline, in my opinion, is the spiritual successor to the El Camino/Ranchero/Rampage. It's not a true truck, but rather a car (or SUV, I suppose) with a bed.

I think they look kind of goofy, but they are supposed to handle and ride nice, and they seem more upscale than the average pickup truck.

I guess I could give you a real world example, but you probably won't care because I'm just a hater.

5-6 years ago, we had a huge snow storm. My wife drove a Subaru with identical ground clearance to the Ridgeline. She got 75 feet from our house before it high centered and her dash lit up like a Christmas tree. I came home, unstuck her and parked her car in the garage for the next 5 days. Until they finally got the roads clear.

Driving my 2nd gen Tacoma wasn't an issue. I picked up co-workers dropped people off. Got people unstuck. A Ridgeline would have been parked in the garage.
