2019 shocks swapped into 2010 base

Anyone ever swap 2019 struts and shocks into a 2010 base Tacoma? I read about the swaps working,

 

They will work. Although the spring rate is heavier.

 

I have personally and the results are great I got a slight front end lift very smooth on the road and works great for trails and light off roading. Here is a long thread on this I suggest reading some of the key points in it.

I forgot to mention that I have a 5lug base model....will they still fit?

Thank you guys for the help so far.. the dealer told me they are not aloud to tell me what’s interchangeable..

 

No they will not. 15 was the last year of the 2wd 5 lug Tacoma. So that's your cut off. The 3rd gen Tacoma does not offer a 5 lug option so the suspension from a 3rd gen will only work on a 2nd gen 6 lug

 

Yeah unfortunately I believe the swap is only for 6 lug
