I purchased a used 2019 Tacoma TRD off-road, I ignorantly didn’t ask to see both Fobs before I signed papers.. so it only came with one fob. I purchased a “blank” off eBay for less than $100 and now I’m trying to find someone that can program a 19’ or do it myself. Everything I can find is for 18 or older. Local guy said he can’t and only dealers can do the 19s. Is this true? Anyone have line with adding a fob to a 19?

Did you buy it used or new? If new go back and get the 2nd one from the dealer

If you have techstream and a cable you can program it yourself.

I have viewed the card thread and the other thread with the video of the car getting a new fob, my concern is not seeing this done to a 2019 Tacoma. The cable linked from Amazon in the thread shows 2018 or older in the description.

You just need to make sure the version of techstream you use is ok for the 19s. The cable should be the same

I’m looking into buying everything to do it myself, just worried the cable is for 2018 or older and not 2019. It all looks relatively easy, just want confirmation it can be done on a 19

Ok, that’s what I was wondering, it’s in the tech stream program, and the cable used on the 18 would work fine. As long as I get the latest version of tech-stream.
