So guys I have a 2019 tacoma 4x4 sport. Drove it today for about 20 min. Turned the truck off..... on my way back home 10 min in the drive. Check engine light came on and truck just had no power. I had instantly no throttle response no anything. Motor ran a little rough for a bit. Pulled over turned it off. Waited a bit then turned it back on and same problem.
Plugged it into my scanner that I hold in the truck and got code p0191 and p0087. I saw that this is a sensor for my fuel pressure. I do have lights on the truck and an alarm and a beefy stereo so I hope thats not the problems I have no clue. Any ways I took the positive clamp off waiting for a bit and put it back on and started it up and drove perfect after that and made it home. Can any one shed some light on this or how to fix it so this won’t happen again. Has anyone had this same problem with 3rd gen? Thanks guys

That sounds like the fuel pump, your model year falls on the recall years, you might want to check the VIN.

Anyone know why a 2018-2019 have fuel pump issues (recall) but not the 2016-2017?
I would've thought they use the same fuel pump unless they changed something significantly.
