    Hey Everybody!

    Bought my first Tacoma last year and am finally looking to upgrade my wheels/tires. I apologize if this is super noob-ish but I keep getting different answers from all over, and trying to order correctly online while I’m deployed overseas is making it more complicated.

    I have;
    2019 TRD Off Road
    2.75” Lift/Level
    Stock wheel/tire 265/70R16
    ——-
    I was interested in upgrading to 33”.
    I guess my big question is do I upgrade the wheel as well or will that larger tire fit on the stock rim?

    Not looking to get crazy/ don’t want a super wide profile tire / and I’m not using for purpose of extensive off roading/climbing past the point of a moderate pact trail occasionally.

    If you don’t want super wide tire, 255/85/16 is a 33”x10”, fits just fine. Much more tire choices in 255/80/17 though.

    285/75/16 will rub on UCA and probably cab mount with stick off-road wheels.

    255s also have less rolling resistance and weigh less than LT 285s. I can still achieve stock MPGs if I drive conservative.

    Here is 255/80/17:
