Thanks, So if I don't use the small yellow and red harness will I be able to add a powered sub later ? The blue remote turn on I can cap off to use on a sub later ? Would you put inline fuse at the battery or close to amp ?

My taco harness has the sub speaker wired to one side of the fronts. Why are some running both fronts for a sub ? If I use the DC to turn on amp I Can cut and cap blue remote wire ?

Big thanks to all of you! I just installed my key 200 and it is impressive. It isn’t a monster but finally my rear speaker are producing sound and the music is just more clear. I am thankful for the folks on TW that share their knowledge. It really helps I hope that one day I can repay the favor.

I mounted it in the dash under the head unit. It is a somewhat tight fit but it will go there.

Installed my amp yesterday and everything went good except I lost my vehicle setup on my entunes settings. Only reason I noticed is my doors all stayed locked except drivers door when getting in and out where as I had them all lock and unlock before. Any idea what could be causing this ? I haven't tried restarting battery power yet ?

Isn’t that something you can just change in the head unit? The only thing I lost was my time on the clock due to disconnecting the battery.

Correct, but the vehicle feature isn't active i.e. dull light and doesn't do anything when you press it. Everything else in the setup tab is good.

Wow maybe remove the battery cable and let everything reset? That’s odd since the only thing on the head unit that is touched is the speaker out connection. Keep us informed as what you find it could help me one day.

So I was planning on working on it today but when I got in this morning everything is working now, weird.

Well I guess it’s best if a problem fixes itself but it would have been good to know what caused it. Maybe just a quirk in the head unit. Glad it’s good now.

The only thing I can think of is when I hooked up the 12v supply line to battery . I didn't remove the main terminal just the accessories but on top.

Maybe that was it. I was so paranoid with the stories of destroying the computer by changing the dome lights and other stuff that I just went ahead and took the terminals off. Probably overkill but…

Ugh…I think I’m in over my head after reading through this. I’m not installing a sub just yet. Do crossovers/component speakers make a difference? Sorry for the photo dump, but I’m hoping one of you pros will look at my gear and tell me what I might be missing for a clean install w/o too much cutting of OEM:

So I haven't seen anyone post a photo of the new '20+ harness. So I took a photo of mine, assuming I didn't stray from @destin_meeks guidance, it should be right ha.
Used the yellow heat shrink so you can see where its cut/soldered. The harness from the hideaway 3 way splices with the kicker key input side speaker(grey/white) and the redwolf add an amp harness I got from Amazon.
