I searched and didn't see this question so hopefully it hasn't been asked yet.

My question is for 2020 owners, when you use the remote start is there a trick to make it always work? Mine seems very finicky where if I click it 3 times too slow it won't engage on the 5 second hold or when I click it too fast, same result. Sometimes it's perfect, most of the time it's quirky. Is it me? the truck? or have I not learned the taco secret handshake?

    Thanks

It's not just you. I noticed it as well. The trick I found is that the first two clicks need to happen rapidly, then press an hold the third click

I found just holding until I hear the engine start works better than counting to 5 or 10 or whatever. I click at about the same cadence as the song "Click Click Boom" from Saliva, if that helps.

To confirm the cadence, You do the first 2 clicks fast then hold for about 5 seconds? Unfortunately I can't hear my truck start from inside my house.

    Click.
    Click.
    Click(holding)

Practice closer to the truck so you can hear. Once you get the cadence, you can experiment with the length of holding.
