I would love to do this without snipping the factory harness. Can anyone point me in the direction of the appropriate male/female which I could use to make a harness between the factory plug and socket? I have the tools and skill to make one, just don’t know what connectors are needed.

Which kit did you buy? Our kit for the 2020 is fully plug and play but if you already have a kit I’m sure we can help you out with the correct connector. Shoot us an email!

@Accessorides is your kit for the 2nd gen 2005-2015 fully plug and play or does it still require some manual wiring ? Also for the horn honk on lock indicator does that work for all or just models that had the functionality from the factory? Example- my 2008 doesn’t honk or chime when locked/unlocked with my factory keyless entry Also are u running any specials on 2nd gen kits at the moment ?

    I have:
    https://remotestartx.com/vehicle/2020-toyota-tacoma-push-to-start-remote-starter/

The instructions require snipping a wire in the factory harness and connecting the two loose leads, as shown in the following video:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGoZmZxnQys

I'd prefer not cutting into the factory harness so I haven't installed it yet.

Yes it is fully plug and play the only optional wire is for the horn honk. When hooked up on all models it will honk on the second press of lock and activate a panic if you press and hold the lock button similar to the OEM red button on the fob. Also we have a killer promo going check out our facebook! Thanks

No worries we can help you out so you don't have to cut any wires on your 2020. Shoot us an email to support@accessorides.com and we will get you set up. Thanks!

For anyone else following along at home, Accessorides sells a well-constructed harness for a good price. I got it and viola, no cutting into the stock harness. :)

I bought the Start-X remote starter kit. It says that no wires need to be cut. I removed the plastic trim on the passenger side. I can't find the plug to install the T-Harness into. All the plugs I see are more or less cubic shaped and not long and thin. Any help on finding it?
