How did you get everything for $80? the switch alone is $62 for me on that site, which is cheaper then Amazon or ebay.

Do you have a multimeter? Verify pins #5 & #6 when vehicle is ON. You have a IGN source if you add any switches.

I'm trying to install bed lights on my 2021 Tacoma SR Access cab, and am not sure what I need a relay for? Won't the switch just plug in the cabin slot, and light hook up to the wires behind tail lights? Several people said it takes 10 mins but am now just seeing the relay? Can anyone help?

On my 2021 TRD Access Cab, the relay was already present. I think the SR trim level doesn't have it preinstalled. But the wiring is there. In either case, the relay is necessary.

If you remove the switch panel as shown earlier in this thread, you will have this view of the relay panel. upload_2021-3-16_8-17-44.jpg
The second relay down is for the cargo lights. If it’s there, you are all set! You will also see the storage place for the harness connector in the thread above.
    Good luck.

    Mike,
Yes it should be. Toyota shares harnesses and setups throughout most of the Tacoma families. You need only to pull one of the tail lights to confirm the rear harness is there, and the switch panel to verify the relay is also present as shown above.
Then buy the switch if needed, and light kit.
    Good luck!

2015 thru 2019 are different than the 2020/2021.

Just installed them on my 21 pulled the rail light assembly, removed the dust cover for the wiring plugged into it works with the door open and cab light switch. Couldn't have been easier. Other than the left tail light assembly was harder to remove than the right side both retainers came out with it.

    Perfect!
It’s all very simple if you have the cab light switch already install from the factory. My 2020 didn’t. Hence the long string of comments with those that new better than me. I’m forever grateful for their help and wisdom!
