Good evening folks, just purchased a 2023 TRD sport with the LED DRL, would also like to convert my Halogens to the OEM LED from the pro. Has there been any wiring changes since 2021 that would prevent this install with the aftermarket conversion harness?

You should be able to plug and play those lights right onto you truck with the conversion harness. I have not read of any changes to the wiring since the headlight assembly is unchanged.

Thanks for the reply, I haven't read anything either. FBC site doesn't allow me to ship to Canada, I ordered a Morimoto H128 harness for the conversion. However the vendor indicated that they thought a wiring change had occurred for the 2022-2023 year and that the harness may not be compatible. Ironically other sites do show that the H128 harness works for 2016-current.

I have a 2022, and used the FBC harness with oem led headlights and am 100% happy with the setup.

FBC is on here @daveeasa ,and I'm sure you can work out on shipping?

No wiring changes as spikey mentioned. You’ll be fine. Make sure harness ground (often solid black on harnesses other than FBC) is connected to OEM ground (always white w black stripe) and you’ll be fine.

Good to see the JOY in purchasing/installing OEM LED Headlights for the 3rd Gen Tacoma...to include Dave Easa's Harness!

If you are close to the border, you can have it sent to a parcel delivery location, then drive down and pick them up. I also had my headlights delivered there and saved on shipping fees. I use TSB Shipping in Point Roberts, but there are places along the border across the US.

Not to far from the border, looking into depots in Montana. Shipping to Canada is expensive.

Anyone know how long the swap would take in total? I have 2 hours to kill tomorrow morning, wondering if that would be enough time.

Yes it is possible. I had mine done in a little over an hour. And some of that time was eaten up by my neighbor chit-chatting with me for a while.

I just want to add on thing... after the headlight is unbolted and only connected at the inside lower corner clip, I found it easier to slide the headlight inboard off this clip rather than pull straight out. I then slid the new headlight into the clip by carefully positioning the assembly into place.

IMO, don't give yourself limited time to do the swap. While it's not terribly hard, it's not something you want to rush because it does include partially removing bumper and you don't want to damage the new headlights by forcing anything on.

I’d feel comfortable doing it in 2h now that I’ve done it once. I spent more than that the first time.

Maybe listen to these two. My time to do the job comes from experience, this was not the first headlight swap for me. I just swapped out my wife's old yellowed halogen assemblies on her Impreza to a set of WRX HID assemblies. And I do similar stuff at work as a professional wrench turner.

Last thing I want is someone messing up this job because they rushed it. They are expensive lights, so don't limit your time window to install them.

Like other have said above, should be enough time. Making a window with a little more time couldn’t hurt and if you finish early, more time to play and stare.
I did a little prep before using painters tape around fenders, bumper and both sets of headlights to avoid any scratches.
Probably took me the same amount of time for my tundra. Didn’t have to drop the bumper but did have to run wiring inside the cab. The old SR5 to new TRD headlight ordeal

@daveeasa I connected all of them but the lights are hyperflashing. Any idea why this might be.
