Just bought a 2020 2WD OR. Noticed a slight vibration from day 1. Occurs between 20 and 25 mph and gets more noticeable when braking. It is hard to pinpoint exactly how it is felt. Seems to be in seat, steering wheel, and cabin. Almost as if you just somehow "feel" it in the cabin. It is annoying but not severe. I have now read many threads about this problem in earlier models (up through 2014) but not many on 3rd gen. Now that I am aware of it I can't help but notice and be annoyed. I have not taken it to the dealer yet. Based on everything I have read I doubt they will offer a solution and will just tell me it is the nature of the truck. I am wondering if anyone else has had the problem in these late models and if they had a solution.

i currently own a 2019 TRD OR and had the breaking wobble (from 70-60,30-20, etc). After 3 visits to the local Toyota dealership and only fixing the symptoms (turned front rotors once, replaced front rotors once and replaced drums once) AND being aware of this problem in earlier Tacos, i finally called Toyota America and have only recently had the problem resolved (replaced axles, hubs, drums, etc). Good luck and keep on them to fix this as it is NOT the nature of the truck.

Does the intensity of the vibration vary as you're driving at a constant speed in that range?

I don't believe it varies, but the vibration is subtle enough that it is hard to tell. The vibration is less subtle when braking and that does seem to vary, but hard to say why. I think it depends on how hard you brake and pass through the speed that has the harmonic.

    Totally common issue.

It's a well known quirk of these trucks.

mine when slowing down shakes a bit at any speed.
didnt really notice it stock but with aftermarket wheels and bigger tires its more noticeable now.
Doesnt really bother me but like you say I think its just the way it is.

front discs, rear drums, midsize platform its kinda bouncy/shaky then add in the odd transmission shifting down

I've got a 2019 that does the exact thing you're describing - basically starts at 21 mph and ends at 25-26 mph. I thought it was my needle bearing but it doesn't go away when I put it in 4-Hi. It happened from day 1 and continued after I got a lift kit. I just chalk it up to being part of the truck as it's really subtle. Although sometimes when I'm stuck in traffic and have to drive 21-26 mph constantly I get slightly annoyed.

I have a 2020 TRD OR and after I lifted the truck for 2.5 in the front and 1 in the rear, I started to hear the sound. As the OP said, that humming sound comes when the truck is slowed down or speed up to around 25mph, lasts for 1 second and disappears. It's more noticeable when braking. It happens both in 2wd and 4h. After all I did, I guess I'll just get used to it ..

There is a Sticky dating back to 2016 for this issue. Yes, newest 3rd Gens are affected as well. As of today it's at 42 pages
