Would you be willing to make another bracket and sell it? If so, how much shipped? Thanks!

To be honest, its kind of an overly complicated design and would be hella expensive, since it was printed on an industrial HP Multijet printer that does low volume production parts for aerospace. I do CAD favors for the guy that owns it. I'm a degreed engineer that does contract work from home (with occasional travel as needed).

The Natika WD-012 camera comes with a screw on flange with panel mount clips, so you can just carefully enlarge the hole on the Pro grille with a round file (about 0.050 on the radius) and pop it in. Use some clear windshield Permatex on the back to keep it from rotating as the camera has an UP mark on it.

Also, the Anytime camera kit comes with a different Natika camera. The WD-012 has the same connector and I assume it works, but havent had time to install the Anytime relay and switch on my infotainment system yet. So be advised.......

Just ordered my 21 TRD OR yesterday and was thinking of a Pro style grill. All the reading of vendors’ pages saying grills aren’t compatible with front camera Tacomas has me confused because I’m fairly sure all Tacoma’s (all Toyota’s even) have a front camera for collision safety and lane keeping.

Are they referring to a DIFFERENT front camera, like an optional one that is used to see a 360° view of the outside?

    thanks

You are correct, all Toyotas have front facing cameras for the safety system, but that camera is located behind the windshield and up by the rearview mirror.

The camera on the Grille is only standard on the PRO and Limited, you would need the optional Advanced tech package (which adds cameras to the bottoms of the side mirrors and a camera in the grille below the Toyota emblem) on an OR to get the 360 camera system.

Heres the options if you want to put on a pro grille....If you have a camera in the grille you'd have to Buy an OEM 2020+ pro grille so it has the camera mount already on it, if you dont have a camera in your grille, you can buy any aftermarket PRO grille you'd like, there's many different levels of quality and price. 3rd option if you have a camera and don't want to spend the money or can't get an OEM grille (because most dealers won't sell one without a PRO vin #) you can buy an aftermarket one and modify it to fit the camera.

Hope this helps, if you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask

    I read that wrong

20-21 TRD Sport and Off Road have option packages with the front camera in the grille. It’s a different bracket than the pro grill and located below the T logo with the TSS sensor behind it. Think the camera design is slightly different as well. The OEM camera is stupid expensive too, like $450.

In the second line of my post I said his OR would need the Advanced tech package to get the camera in the grill...

haha no worries, the Bracket is a few steps past figuring out if he's got a camera or not, didn't want to dump everything on him at once

The camera in the windshield / rear view mirror base is only for the lane change alert system. I dont think it performs any other function. I think collision avoidance is performed soley by millimetric radar in the grille mounted TSS.

I had to go into Toyotas website to look thru this from what I read and watched, they actually work in tandem camera in windshield and grille mount radar. from what I can tell and I could be wrong, is, the camera sees the obstacle, radar determines closure rate with pings, tells the car to alert the driver, and the radar/safety system is gonna try to save the day if no action is taken and deploy emergency braking

This is great info. Preemptively ordered an OEM pro grill with the camera hole before I got my 2021 thinking the camera was now standard on all 2020+ tacos. Now debating whether to add a camera or get another grill without the camera bezel.

    Hey Tacoma World,

First I must say thank you for all the support over the last 7 months with my camera brackets for the PRO GRILL.

I have had several requests to make a bracket for the aftermarket 2019 and below PRO GRILLS as the cost far less than the OEM counterpart.

After a couple weeks of tinkering I have came up with a solution that will make this option a reality.

I have designed a camera mount bracket that will snap into place on the aftermarket grill once a small section is cut out for the bracket to fit.

the design also incorporates the use of the stock camera cover which snaps into place and locks onto the braket.

I am currently printing out the first batch of test models for end users to review.

no more finding vin numbers and paying way more for the same grill.

Im looking for a couple more forum members interested in test the new brackets that are willing to leave a review for other members to see.
I will discount these members for their troubles.

I had to come on here and leave a review..

First of all, Hello Tacoma World! New user/new Taco owner here. I wanted to give a huge shout out to Grant. I got myself a pro grille for my 2021 Tacoma TRD OR, and immediately started shopping around for best ways to mount my OEM camera to it. I saw Grant’s name floating around on the forums so I thought I’d give it a shot after some of the mounts he made.

Grant is awesome, quick to reply, super helpful and helped me get a new mount made for my pro grille. (Extra points, fast shipping sent to the USA from Canada within less than a week!) For starters, anyone looking for a good way to mount your OEM camera, look no further. Grant designed this mount to snap perfectly in the pro grille as well as allowing the OEM camera housing to attach. I was actually blown away by how well it fit and how good it looks on the truck.

10/10 stars. Great product, great service. Hopefully this solves the problem for a lot of you out there. You won’t be disappointed!

    Thanks Grant!

Give him an email for inquiries:
    grantschoenit@gmail.com

(Note* You can hardly see it but at the top of the mount I had to existing holes from my previous mount, so I just added 2 small zip ties for extra security. This is not required to install this mount)

If anyone in this thread that upgraded to Pro grille still has the 2020+ OffRoad/Sport front camera bracket that you no longer need, I am interested in buying it from you. I am changing my Ltd grille to the OffRoad/Sport grille but placed it on hold because of the incompatible front camera bracket.
