    Hey all,
I am new to the group and just purchased a new 2020 tacoma off road. Sorry if this question has already been asked, if it has please point me to the post for some reading:) I was wondering how difficult it is to swap out the 2020 grill to the TRD pro grill?
Also what is everyones recommendations on the grill....OEM or what aftermarket brand to go with?
    Thanks for any advice?

Personally speaking I think the TRD Bro grill fad is getting a bit long in the tooth, but since I’m a slave to trends I went ahead and did it anyways.

As far as difficulty, on a 1 to 10 scale 10 being hard the entire swap is barely a 1. Easy peasy plenty of YouTube how to videos out there. Since I’m going to assume you’ll not spend the $700+ on OEM parts, any one of the many Ebay Chinese knockoffs are probably fine. No issues with mine radar cruise works no warning...so far.

About how many miles have you had the pro grille installed ? I'm thinking about doing it but don't want to worry about the sensor issues.

Wasn't a fan of the cheese grater on my 17. I got the pro grill from cali raised. Not a big chrome fan either.

Pro grill was one of the first things I did. No sensor issues for me. I got mine for less than $300 from a Toyota vendor on here, give Gunny1005 a shout. Worst case scenario, if you hate it, it’s an easy swap back and easy to resell the pro grill.

What kind of monster would do such a thing? That SR5 grille is way better looking.

I’m with some of the other posters here. Keep the factory grille that came on your truck. The Pro grille is WAY overdone IMO.

As long as my radar sensor keeps working and not freaking out with dash warnings, I’ll keep my $170 Chinese sweatshop made faux Pro grill and sensor garnish. Might as well recoup that cost by actually using it for a bit. Again this site did wonders for me when installing it by reminding me to add a spring washer before mounting the sensor to slightly change up the angle. Works like a charm so far...fingers crossed.

Thankfully the 2020 OR grill design is 100 times better than what it was in 2016-2019. Mine is still safely wrapped in bubble just in case.

    Hey Mike,

How much you want for the 2020 SR5 grill?
Shoot me a message if you want to sell it.

The grilles on the 2020 Sport/OR are lightyears nicer than 2016-2019's aren't they?
